We had a great time at Louren’s cottage. It’s cozy and rustic and not pretentious. The kitchen is well equipped and convenient. There is no wifi or cellular service, but I think it is part of the charm and what really allowed us to wind down and disconnect. The screened-in porch’s view is simply breathtaking at sunset. Louren was available for any questions we had and has some great insight on what to do and where to go for a multitude of activities. Thank you!

Amazing. Great kitchen with everything you'll need (but bring a kettle if you're tea drinkers). The pizza oven is a real treat, as is the screened-in porch! Clean, comfortable, rustic, and since it's on the windward shore of the lake, it gets fewer mosquitoes or blackflies than pretty much anywhere else in this part of Canada. (Also, great screened porch). Beach is sand and silt and shallow way out, which makes it warm for swimming. And being out of cell phone range, it's a perfect place to really relax. Highly recommend!

We spent 7 nights at Louren's cottage and it was a perfectly wonderful stay. The lake is gorgeous and quiet. The cottage is up to date and comfortable, yet it has a rustic vintage feeling to it that we loved. The wood-burning pizza oven was an unexpected bonus. Made some excellent pizza on it. As others have mentioned, the screened in porch is one of the nicest features of the cottage. We enjoyed paddle boarding, canoeing, swimming, and more. We also went to Bon Echo Provincial Park for hiking. My children enjoyed the petting zoo just down the road. We hope we can have the opportunity to stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at Louren’s cottage. There was plenty of space for our family which included our 3 year old and 1 year old and our dog. We took the playpen up for our youngest and the main bedroom with the double bed had a perfect sized seating area to set that up without it being in the way. The room with the twin beds is also roomy. Lots of windows make the place feel airy and bright. It did get hot during our stay but with the lake right there and lots of fans in in the evening it wasn’t a problem. The screened in porch is a a wonderful feature as it allows you to be outdoors even in the rain which we had a couple of days of. The kitchen is very modern with plenty of counter space for meal prep and updated appliances. The pizza oven is a fun extra that we got to use and although there is a bit of a learning curve it was easy enough to figure out how to make a different kind of cottage meal. The beach entry is perfect for young kids as it is shallow for a really long stretch and the smaller lake keeps the water warm. The sand play keeps them busy. The water is shallow around the dock as well. Lots of watercraft to have fun with and a quiet lake make it perfect for trying out the SUP or kayaks. Louren shared some good fishing locations that we were able to row out to and that helped us make the most of our time. A great summer family time away. We hope to return next season.

The perfect getaway!! This is our second time staying at the cottage and it was, once again, a great stay! Louren is an awesome host. Cottage is very clean, stocked with necessities, and in a picturesque location overlooking the lake. Beautiful cottage!
