We had a fantastic stay. We loved the decor and the beach. Plenty of seating in every area inside and out.

Excellent location, would definitely go back! Would have been great if some additional amenities (ex. Coffee, skewers for roasting marshmallows, etc.) Were included. Also the automatically locking front door drove us nuts lol. It rained heavily the first night so it wasnt possible to prop the door open while grilling. Otherwise loved the place and loved our stay!

The cottage and location were wonderful. Clean, comfortably furnished, just as described in the listing. The sun porch offered pleasant, much needed space to wait out some rain. Comments about stones on the beach were a bit over-stated, i think. Plenty of sand and clear swimmable surf. Our only issue was locking ourselves out upon check-in. Do NOT put your phone down on the counter and go out for another load. The door will close and your only access is locked inside. Thankfully, friendly neighbors had contact info and we were able to get back in. Our bad. Definitely recommend .

Location was good. right on the water. if you have kids you may reconsider as the hot water is not equipped for a bunch of children to take baths. it runs out of hot water after just 10 minutes. other than that it was great.

My partner and I stayed at the spalshpad for 2 weeks at the end of September. We enjoyed our stay and would potentially stay again. Location is the number 1 best thing about the house, you can see the sun rise and set from the garden without having to go out to the lake. There is direct access to the lake with a little beach at the end of the garden, and the lake is very shallow with markers to show how far you should go if you have kids or are not a strong swimmer. I brought my paddleboard which worked well, but was surprised at how wavy Lake Erie can get, made for some fun paddling though. If you're looking for outside private space this may not be the best place as there are no fences so you can see your neighbors garden and vise versa, this didn't bother us plus the neighbors are really friendly. You will need a car if staying here and planning to visit local attractions. Sobeys and No Frills are a 10 min drive, which was extremely convenient. The photos are accurate and I'd say it's even nicer in person. Having the sunroom during rainy days really makes the difference as you won't have to be couped up inside. Cleanliness is the only area I'd say didn't quite meet our expectations. A enhanced clean is what was meant to be done but I'd say it was a average clean, sofa had quite a few crumbs and we ended up cleaning the bathroom ourselves. I reported a unsavory smell in the bathroom and Mike was very quick to come out and investigate which was really appreciated, and he did what he could to help. Also went out for more fire wood. Communication with Mike and Amanda was the best I've experienced having stayed at a lot of different Airbnb's. You can rely on them to provide any help you need and they really do their best to make your stay a good one. Thank you Mike and Amanda!
