Our week stay in this home started by a warm welcome from our host Joelene, who explained all we needed to know. We found the the kitchen very well furnished with all needed, along with the grill. The nearby Kawaroa Park playground is undergoing major renovations and is not open for use until the end of 2024. Here are some comments one may find helpful to know: The beds are comfortable - each room has king beds Multiple large mirrors with nearby outlets were very useful when the bathrooms were in use Toilets are not separate of the bathrooms Along with the vacuum cleaner, a carpet sweeper was found very useful The washer and dryer are a great asset - located in the garage Hot tub is part of the main bathroom, Showers have great water pressure Did not need the elevator, but could not figure out how to use it anyway Large garage holds two vehicles along with parking in the driveway Coffee maker is a French Press Outdoor patio nice Comfortable seating throughout We loved our stay!!!

The house is in a quiet area, well appointed, with most things we needed. Easily got 2 cars in the garage. It got a bit warm downstairs, but there were some fans available. Plenty of serving plates, glasses and crockery. Bbq worked well.

Perfect place for our party-of-five WOMAD participants to stay for four nights during the event. Fantastic location, clean and tidy, two bathrooms, and plenty of communal space. Thanks Jolene, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, quiet, close to walkway and not too far to drive or walk to town. It is a large place with a large collection of glass ware and platters so would be great if you are a large group. Check in was super easy with Joelene meeting us at the property. Make sure you read the listing because there is no cleaning fee so you have to clean it yourself and as a result it isn’t as clean as other places I’ve stayed. Everything other than the main bench tops seemed dusty, including the bedside tables and cornices. There were cobwebs in some corners as well. Having to mop bathroom floors wasn’t how I wanted to end a holiday so I wish I had paid the cleaning fee in advance. It also gets quite hot and the fans made a lot of noise for not doing very much.

Lovely house on a very quiet street, close to the picturesque waterfront walking path. Some upgrades are planned for the house, and we can't wait to see how they turn out. We'd definitely stay with Joelene on our next trip to New Plymouth.
