We had a great time! The property was beautiful and the location was great! The mattress are a little uncomfortable but my only real complaint was that I am confused as to why there is a cleaning fee ($100) when there is also departure instructions that include the guest to clean. I understand the courtesy of loading the dish washer or cleaning up after yourselves for the most part and to be respectful in someone else’s space/home but I am unsure why stripping the beds and doing laundry should be a responsibility placed on the guest. Overall we had a wonderful time, the location was awesome and the house was really cute and cozy! I would still rate it 5 stars because I am not sure if the cleaning fee and the guest still having to clean is an AirBnB standard or not as this was my first reservation.

Pros: Great location and privacy in the woods. The home offered enough space for everyone to sleep and the bedrooms and living areas (living room, kitchen, etc.) were clean. Cons: The biggest con was the stone fireplace. It is promoted in the listing (first picture in the profile and also in the description), but we were not able to use it. The main reason I selected this AirBnB over cheaper options was because it had a big stone fireplace. If I had known we could not use the fireplace ahead of time, I would not have reserved this AirBnB and went with a cheaper option. Additionally, the beds were not comfortable. We ended up purchasing mattress toppers for the weekend and one person also decided just to sleep on the couch. The kitchen appliances also needed maintenance/replacement (microwave was missing glass dish that revolves, coffee pot - lid was broken/unclean, etc) Overall, it was a nice AirBnB, but given the cost of the place, we will stay somewhere cheaper next time.

Awesome place right in the middle of everything in door county. Easy to get everywhere we wanted and awesome place to relax by a fire in the evenings. Would totally stay again.

Lovely place, plenty of room for 4 or 5 people and very nice fire-pit out back. Location between Fish Creek and Ephraim makes it easy to drive to pretty much anywhere on the peninsula (particularly on the bay side), and it's right by Peninsula State Park for some excellent hiking and views!

This is a very peaceful cottage in a beautiful setting. The home is roomy and welcoming. Beds are comfortable and bedding is very clean. Easy driving distance (2-3 miles) to Fish Creek and Ephraim and many shops, restaurants and bars. Heating issue came up and owner looked into it right away.
