Welcome to my home - a cozy, picturesque cottage from 1890 located on Jordö. Just 150 m from the sea you’ll find this renovated little house and it’s lovely garden offering several patios. The house has been carefully updated the last years and has almost all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. Located in the archipelago, close to a golf course, with world famous nature reserves, you’ll have all you need for a great stay. Possible to borrow 2 kayaks and rent a smaller motorboat. Entrance: Two separate entrances - one from front garden with hangers and shoe rack, and one from the back with storage and hangers. Living room: It has two Swedish designed sofas, an armchair and smoking table, a desk and chair for reading. Lots of magazines, books and board games. Functioning tiled stove that might be used (upon request). Kitchen: Renovated 2022 it has a stove with induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Fully equipped with porcelain, electric water boiler, coffee maker and kitchen machines. Dining areas with two chairs and two stools. Bedrooms: • Master bedroom in the house with a 180cm bed. • Small bedroom in the house with a 100cm bed. • Queen bedroom in annex right next to the house with 140cm bed. An extra mattress is also available so there can be space for up to 6 people. Note: basic linen and a hand towel are included. Duvet cover, pillow cases and bath towel are a small extra fee. Toilet: Located separately in the annex, it’s a so called “Separett” (separates urine and poop). Shower: Site built located separately in the annex with warm water, limestone tile, spruce floor and details in oak/juniper. Patio: One patio in the front with a table, five chairs and morning sun. One patio in the back facing south (sun almost all day) with deck chairs, teak table and five chairs. Movable big gas grill. Extra chairs and tables are located in the property and can also be used. Garden: Green, flourishing garden around 1000 sqm with perennial flowers, berry bushes, and fruit trees. From the back of the house and the bedroom in the annex you can see glimpses of the bay that is located just 150m from the house. Nearby area: Within 10-20 minutes walk you’ll reach the many stunning nature preserves and trails that surrounds the village. Download app Ark56 for maps etc. Within 10 minutes by car you’ll reach the golf course, more nature preserves and trails, and grocery stores/restaurants. Possibilities to rent a smaller boat with outboard motor depending on availability.

Rigtigt dejligt og autentisk svensk hyggeligt hus. Vi har gået nogle dejlige ture i området, hvor der er smuk natur.
Vi nød virkelig de tre dage i Sofias hus, som var fuld af historie og autenticitet. Husets størrelse gav en god følelse af nærhed, og stilheden var terapeutisk for os, der normalt lever i en storby. Der var gode og hjælpsomme vibrationer fra Sofia og ikke mindst hendes mor, som bor i nærheden. Vi vender gerne tilbage til huset og Jordö en anden god gang!
We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Sofia’s huis! Het huisje heeft geschiedenis en karakter en je ziet dat het met liefde en oog voor detail is gedecoreerd. Het was schoon, comfortabel en het huisje biedt simpelweg alles voor een fantastisch verblijf. Het separett toilet en de douche in het bijgebouw ben je in no time aan gewend en waren ook heel schoon. We konden bramen, druiven en appels plukken in de mooie grote tuin, waar ook regelmatig herten langs kwamen. Kortom, ben je op zoek naar een knus huisje op een prachtige plek in de natuur, met rust en privacy, dan raadt ik Sofia’s huis zeker aan!
What a lovely cottage: cosy, calm and located in lovely surrounding! - We spent there four nights and realized that this is not enough... Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room make your stay pleasant and if the oven needs to be used during colder days this must be very cuddly (we did not need to use it). The nearby nature reservations are perfect for having (short) hikes and the nature really is impressive. Another good way to explore is a trip with the kayak, waiting for you at the nearby jetty. Take a calm tour early morning or late evening, when the bigger waves are gone and the quietness takes over, and enjoy the peaceful sound your paddle rippling through the water, only interrupted by the sharp cry of a seagull above you... Karlskrona is worth a trip and just a stone´s throw away - and on the way do not forget to stop-by the loppis! Communication with Heléne and Sofia was super easy and quick!

The house is located in a small village called Jordö where neighbors greet each other.
There are several piers, rocks and a small sandy beach less than 5 minutes by foot where you can swim and sunbathe.
You can also walk into the nature preserves that starts around 15 minutes by foot from the house.
Less than 3km from the house you’ll find the beautiful Carlskrona golf course, and 7km away is Hasslö island with big sandy beaches, grocery store, pizzeria, a vineyard, and a restaurant located on a pier right by the water.
Take a 25 minutes drive and enter the UNESCO world heritage classified city of Karlskrona, and discover the many places she has to offer;
Museums, churches, public swimming areas, restaurants by the water, tour boats etc.
On the property there are two parking places.
Right outside are also a parking place.
You can reach the area by public transport but a 3km walk is required to get to the house.
