if u are planing a ski trip, that would be a ideal place. just 3 minutes drive to Tsugaike, sit in the middle of the Hakuba Valley. Rob is responsive to all difficulties you met, he can provide a lot local info for u, like ticketing, dinning, gear rental, great hot spring recommendation....etc. that would surely make your trip easier. and if u feel tired after a few days intensive ski, stay in house to try their hot pot would be a great option. 👍

Believe it or not, this is better than ski-in, ski-out. I say this even as a hardcore skier! If you're unfamiliar with Hakuba, Rob's place (in Tsugaike) is the perfect location. You're in the middle of all of the best resorts. Rob is an exceptional host and the space is perfect for big groups as well as individuals. Stop reading and book :)

Hands down one of the best places to stay in Hakuba. Rob is such an amazing host, so accommodating and helpful with local tips and recommendations. Offers a shuttle for drop off and pick up from the ski resorts which is awesome. Breakfast is included which makes life simpler especially when you want to get on the slopes early, good fuel up for the day, and a good money saver. Also offers to drive you into town for dinner or groceries, and if he can’t drive Tsugaike is only about a 15-20 min walk. Has a room to store you’re board and boots after a day out and rooms are nice and specious with comfy beds. Will definitely be back and will definitely stay with Rob again. This man is a legend and should be a super host.

Without a doubt this is the best place to stay in Hakuba! Rob knows everything about the area and was always incredibly helpful with tips and transport. The perfect host and a very comfortable airbnb really made it the highlight of our japan trip. We can’t thank Rob enough for an amazing stay!

Great place for skiers to stay on a budget. Nice place, not fancy. Basic but tasty breakfast (cereal, milk, juice, toast, jam, butter, etc). The standout feature was the ability to get a ride from Rob to the ski resorts or other locations. Rob was super nice about giving us rides on our schedule, and this made our trip super relaxing and awesome! Other nice things: nice warm drying room, full bar in the common room, ski movies on the TV, everyone who worked there was super nice and awesome.
