Great little cabin out in the country. Very private and peaceful, dark sky at night to view the stars. If you want a real getaway from the daily grind, this is definitely your place. Lots of outdoor seating choices, with a large wooden picnic table for outdoor eating (made more private with a section of wooden fencing). Place is definitely cozy, even the full size bed is a snug fit, but it worked well enough for the two of us, and the bathroom was fairly big for the overall space. One thing that was a bit funky was the outdoor kitchen/food prep area, it was cool, cloudy, and windy one night which made for a bit of a challenge, but we utilized the BBQ both nights to cook and it was convenient to have prep space outdoors for that purpose. WiFi was very fast, so if you choose to stay connected, there is no issue with speed. We enjoyed our stay, and would return if we were vacationing in the area again, thanks Leah!

What a special place! I loved staying in the Bunkhouse! Despite my visit being marred by rain, hail and even snow when I was in Carrizo Plains National Monument🤪, this place was just lovely to be at! So close to Shell Creek Rd but my main goal was CPNM and the hour drive back and forth was so gorgeous it didn’t matter it was an hour away! Leah & Chuck were so helpful and caring when I got myself in a scary situation but all ended well. If I could have had one thing that was missing, it was a toaster but I made do without! I will definitely stay here again!

Had an amazing, relaxing stay and look forward to coming back! Especially enjoyed meeting the animals, private tour of the ranch, and the starry nights! Great proximity to wineries and the coast. Leah provided great instruction and communication (arriving in day time made it easiest to initially navigate). We loved the cheese, crackers, and wine that was kindly provided!
