The Chillspot, Mbita Bungalow is a secure three (3) bedroomed house located within Mbita CBD. From the house you have quick access to various tourist destinations within the Rusinga and Mbita Peninsula such as Ruma National Park and several beach hotels. We also separately offer car hire services and organize boat excursions around the Lake Victoria Islands of Rusinga, Takawiri and Mfangano. We are located within the beautiful beaches of Mfangano Island and offer a variety of services including mountain hikes, boating and fishing, bird watching and visits to historic sites

Mfangano Island is a serene virgin Island situated deep into Lake Victoria. It is surrounded by several other inhabited islands such as Takawiri, Remba, Ringiti and Rusinga. There are other satellite Islands that play the role of nature regeneration by being gazetted as bird sanctuaries. The island is only 30minutes away from the famous Ruma National park that plays host to a variety of wildlife
Transportation to the island is either by a waterbus (Hoover board) or a ferry. Movement within the island is done by boat (water) or Road.
