What a wonderful haven nestled in the midst of the awesome Gran Sasso. Particularly at this time of the year, the entire area was so quiet and relaxing. And as far as Mattia and Ezio's property, we cannot say enough good things - it's beautifully constructed and furnished, and they left enough provisions for us to enable us to cook a meal or two and make us feel right at home. Ezio was there to personally greet us and see us off, and he just seemed like a genuinely nice person. This place was a highlight for all of us on this trip to Italy.

Il soggiorno presso Il rifugio del Gransasso è stata una bellissima esperienza! La casa si trova nel mezzo di un boschetto e si percepisce la tranquillatà assoluta. Mattia insieme a suo padre sono veramente delle brave persone e ci hanno aiutato in tutto, anche sostituendoci in breve tempo una padella che si era rotta durante il soggiorno. Veramente fantastici. Se avete intenzione di soggiornare nella zona del Gransasso, consiglio vivamente di godervi questa esperienza!

First class stay. Beautiful house and surroundings. Mattia and Eziodigi are courteous and responsive. Extremely helpful with everything! Lots of little touches eg flowers on table on terrace, items of food. Two very attractive terraces with views. The stay went too quickly.

We enjoyed our stay in the Refugio di Gran Sasso and Mattia and his father wete the best hosts. They were very nice, friendly, responsive, helpful and most important for us they were flexible with the check in (even if we arrived really late at night). The house was extremely nice (clean and matched the description and the pictures), surrounded by nature, close to the attraction points of Gran Sasso. Ee loved the place and I would highly recommend to anyone to book the place.
