We had a fantastic stay! Steve was gracious enough to allow for a last minute booking and a late check in. He was very responsive with quick communication. The property was exactly as described. The house had everything we needed. The beach was private and the water was calm. This is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. There’s dining options in Carrabell and a bit more upscale restaurants in Appalachicola and in Port St Joe if you don’t mind a little drive.

The house and location were beautiful, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the huge wrap around porch with lots of nice seating and tables to find the perfect spot in/out of the sun and wind. Also beautiful views from inside the house in many locations. We had a great stay.

Wow! We loved our stay! It was perfect for what we needed. Steve's place is clean, has amazingly comfortable beds and fantastic views. We came for my niece's graduation from FSU. Yes, it's an hour drive to Tallahassee, but the drive is scenic and easy. The drive time trade-off was worth it to be able to return to this lovely beach house....plus, it was less expensive than anything I could find in Tallahassee that could accommodate our group....and, no, I didn't wait until the last minute to begin my search. The beach is lovely. While walking we saw sea snails, starfish, blue crabs, hermit crabs, etc. While on the balcony we enjoyed watching the pelicans, shore birds and even the occasional eagle. There are 2 kayaks available, however one had a leak(but perhaps an easy repair). There are skim boards and toys as well, but our group was older and so didn't need. Fishing gear is available as well. If buying groceries, you should be aware the supermarket closes at 8:00pm, otherwise Dollar General is it- and they close at 9:00pm. Selection is limited, so best to buy needed items prior to arrival. Bring your own hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body soap,etc. as these items are not provided. There is a message in the house guidelines book requesting you replace what you use, empty the trash (fair enough) and to load and start the dishwasher prior to departing. Seems a bit much given the cost of rental and the cleaning fee. When we arrived the dishwasher was full,. We left it as we found it. Other than those 'personal sticking points', Steve's place is the perfect location for family and friends to gather. Added bonus: St George Island is a short drive away and the ferry to Dog Island is in Carrabelle.

Beautiful location with absolutely stunning views. There was an issue with the water in the house. It was stained and had a foul odor. Also the back patio/deck is a hazard and should be fixed immediately. Handrail is failing, staircase has sunken, and deck boards have warped. Be careful

House was great just wood steps and deck need to be replaced really rough on the feet
