Our family of 14 had a great time in Casa Hermosa/Amarillo. The house was large enough to accommodate everyone. The decorating was dated. The furnishings were comfortable. The interior and exterior of the house could be refreshed. The refrigerator failed, but was replaced the following day. The spa never did work. The third floor bathroom’s (above the master suite) hot water heater never worked properly. The pool was a hit with the kids as was the billiard/bar room. I would recommend opening the doors otherwise the room smells moldy. Our cooks, Angie and her daughter, were wonderful and the food was delicious. Our driver, Bob, was the BEST! All in all, we enjoyed the house, area and activites.

The house is even more beautiful than the pictures! 17 of my family members stayed here for a week and did not have to worry about a single thing. The chef was amazing (Angie and her daughter) and our driver Bob was available for any sort of excursion we needed. Also any time we had a request, it would get resolved ASAP (example HDMI cord to watch football, rollaway bed, etc.) We would definitely return in the future! A couple of things to note, the house is on the top of a hill and not really within walking distance to the beach. Our driver helped shuttle us back and forth though. Cleaning service comes with the booking, and expect to have maids there the majority of the day (it's a big house!). They were fantastic and kept us organized. There is a night guard that watches the property overnight.

The home is absolutely beautiful and the in-house cleaning staff was equally as amazing. However the owner was beyond rude. We had several people who needed wifi to work while on the trip and he never offered the password or made it visible to us. When he did supply us with the wifi credentials, the wifi didn’t work. When confronted he basically said oh well and drove away. The jets for the hot tub could only be turned on by the security guard or the owner, and heat for tub didn’t work at all. More than anything else the owner’s attitude was extremely off putting. He could visibly care less if our wifi need was meet and dared us to call Airbnb customer service.

Let me start by saying the reason for my visit was for my 60th birthday celebration. So a lot of planning and thought had to go into accommodating 14-16 people for 5 days. I was in direct communication with the owner much of the time. I went full out on services: Chef, driver, transportation, etc all arranged through the owner, The place: stunning and met all my expectations. The views are breathtaking and I don’t think the pictures truly do it justice. Staff: Angie the chef was amazing and everyone loved her food. She also suggested the “floor show” for my birthday celebration which rendered me speechless. Bob the driver knew where to take us. Jacklin the housekeeper was always gracious and accommodating. Emilio provided worry-free security. The place holds 20 easily but I’d say 12-16 is perfect. Some minor problems with lack of hot water in a couple bathrooms but there were 5 others from which to choose. A couple ceiling fans didn’t work. Every issue was resolved quickly.

The house was really nice , we were party of 13 and didn’t feel crowded or on top of each other because the house is so big. The views breathtakingly beautiful, the sounds of birds chirping in the morning and beautiful sunrise ( if you’re lucky to catch it) with the ocean as the backdrop; so peaceful I didn’t want to leave. I like the fact that we could play music as loud as we wanted with no care in the world (Host provided speakers). Hired a private chef and massages via host and we enjoyed these services. Jackie is/was AMAZING!!!!! She was so helpful and attentive. Any questions, she assisted. Only concerns is Wi-Fi wasn’t consistent throughout the day and there is some upkeep/maintenance needed on the home. Overall I enjoyed the house and would Stay here again.
