Lovely location on lake. We enjoyed canoeing daily.
The property owners were very responsive, and Lake Josephine is beautiful. The only negatives are that the mattresses were not the most comfortable, and the basement was a bit damp. Note: there is only one restaurant open for dinner on the island, and the food was not amazing. Bring your own to grill by the lake.
Great location. The place is a bit outdated but it’s relatively large and had the space we needed. We enjoyed using the kayak and swimming from the dock. The one complaint I had was the pots/pans (very scratched Teflon) and knives (extremely dull). There aren’t many amenities on the island so you will be cooking a lot and we were reluctant to use most of the pots and the knives were frustrating to use. It would have also been nice to have a more functional tv in the basement that we could put a movie on for the kids. And we could not figure out how to get the hideabed out. All that said, we had a good time at the house.
Our family had a great time swimming-paddle boarding-kayaking in the lake the warm is surprisingly warm -loved sitting on the balcony playing cards in the evening. the home had everything we needed for our stay and plenty of room for all 9 of us
This house rental was perfect for our family getaway. Being able to be right on the lake was amazing. The house is all set up for big groups with lots of bath towels and beach towels. I would highly recommend this secluded getaway for a fun family weekend.
