the place was really easy to find and fairly accessible (as long as you don’t take super heavy suitcases like me and my friend did because there is a lot of stairs to pull them up) it was really nice to meet rose and her family, me and my friend are only 19 and they gave us so many suggestions on things we could do (as underage people) in chicago, they were very friendly and nice to have conversations with, the place itself was spacious enough and fit perfectly for two people (who want separate rooms), a nice big tv and literally the coziest couch it think we’ve ever sat on 😂. the only issue we did have was that the place was quite dirty on the floor and surfaces of the kitchen and bathroom when we arrived but thankfully there was a vacuum and mop we could use as well as alcohol wipes but other than that we overall had a very nice stay, thank you rose and family 🥰
Wow, where do I start? Rose's place was perfect. Such a great sized apartment, perfect for us! Everything you need and more. A little ways out of the city but easy to get in and out and so nice to stay in a wonderful neighbourhood. The best part was Rose herself and her husband. So friendly and welcoming and had so many recommendations, we need to come back to do everything! Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make us feel at home and have the best holiday. I ran the Chicago marathon and they were amazing with suggestions before and after. I would 100% want to stay here again!
We had an amazing time. Rose and her husband were so friendly! They even made us a plate of food one evening. Very communicative throughout the process. We got to enjoy some love music next door one of the evenings. I could go on and on. I would definitely stay here again!!
Rose’s place is near live music venues, coffee house, restaurants. Nice neighborhood, very welcoming local businesses, always felt safe. A 10 minute cab ride to the city center. Rose was very lovely, friendly and helpful. The apartment had very ample space. Would def stay here again when in Chicago. :)

Hi, I'm Rose and a world traveler. I lived in South America on and off for 7 years. I've hosted multiple units over the past several years both in the U.S. and South America. I try and focus on the guest experience with amenities, comfort, activity ideas, and more. I travel often, but when I am around I sometimes spend time with guests and/or direct them to some of my Chicagoland gems. We sometimes share bites and pour specialty drinks in our basement "Speakeasy" for a little time-traveling.
