Shawn is very meticulous, which I greatly appreciated. His home is clean and very well cared for. The backyard was beautiful, and we saw 25+ species of bird the first evening of grilling on the deck (I’m a bird nerd). The record collection was great and we loved to sit and listen to music in the evenings. The only minor gripe (which Shawn clearly addresses in the house manual and makes a great effort to walk you through it step by step) is the shower. The warm water in the shower is tough to get just right, so you might take a colder than ideal shower. We had a long day out hiking in the rain, and not being able to take a nice long hot shower was a minor bummer. You can still usually take a reasonably warm shower, but it’s finicky. If we didn’t have the long, cold, wet day in the woods I wouldn’t have the same gripe. Otherwise Shawn’s home was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our use. His home is clearly well loved, but also very well cared for. I would stay there again.

The cottage was cozy and what we had expected. It was close to the beach and my family. It accommodated my large family and Shawn was very accommodating. We had a lovely stay.

As soon as you walk in the door, you see that this little cottage holds years of beautiful memories with Shawn's family. We embraced it as our own. It has a unique family setting with tons of board games, and a family room. We enjoyed our time as a family of 7 with plenty of space for us to sleep and eat, while most of our day was at the beach or out back on the deck. Mornings were quiet outside listening to birds, drinking a hot coffee and hearing roosters in a distance. We enjoyed listening to music outside from record player and disc ( plenty of choices) on the deck while cooking up some BBQ goods with wine in hand as early as noon :) The beach, splash pad and playground was 10 min walk- we brought our collapsible wagon to make the trek effortless and to have a hand free for a cold beverage. By night we sat at the back for a fire; marshmallows and hot dogs! Kids caught fireflies and played on tire swing.Plenty of fire wood! The AC allowed comfort 🌙 Shower and hot water were good!

We loved our stay, had everything we needed. It rained the second day and the covered back porch was awesome to have. We would definitely stay again!

My stay here was fantastic! I went up for two nights with six other guys, each of us being fairly tall and taking up our share of the house, but we had room to spare. The covered deck outside got lots of use and was in great shape, as we had lots of rain while we were there but had no issues with leaks. The place was very clean and tidy when we arrived, with beds made, dishes in proper spots, and more. We were a ten minute walk from the beach and a restaurant known as The Wreck. Both of them were fantastic. The beds were the comfiest I had ever been in while staying away from my home; something I was not expecting but was a welcome surprise! It fit all of us well. The living room had lots of seating, tables, games, records, and CDs, all up for use and all in great shape. The house felt very much like a home, decorated well with flavour and flair. I would absolutely return here and would recommend it to anyone! The owner is very honest as well. Nothing to worry about there!
