Kimiaki's beautiful home is far from anywhere, making it very peaceful & special. Take everything you need as it's a good 20-min drive to the nearest shops. We enjoyed bbq-ing outside after dark but it did get a bit chilly (late March), so bring warm clothes. It's great to find a place we can bring our dog. He wasn't allowed on the wooden flooring in our rooms (reasonable), but the house has a corridor running outside the rooms, so our dog could be next to us wherever we were. The home was clean and comfortable - real mattresses on the beds, not futons - and quite unique. The rooms looked elegant with traditional paper screens and wooden beams, yet had a modern bathroom. The heated pit under the dining table was a treat! Kimiaki was polite, kind & helpful. He was very thoughtful to show us the way to the home personally as it would be easy to get lost. However, I'm not sure he needed to stay the night and we would have felt more relaxed to have the place to ourselves.
