自我介绍

I am a retired carpenter who is very active in mountain sports especially mountain biking and climbing. I have spent six or seven years as a crew leader working with high school aged youth, on trails in the Olympic forest. One of my current outdoor projects is locating and documenting the circumference and height of larger trees in the Olympic National forest Usually this means trees with at least 15 foot circumference and requires bushwacking beyond the end of the trail, into the heart of the forest. Sometimes when you are walking up to a really big one, you can actually feel it before you see it. My partner Suzanne is a talented artist who works with pressed plants and has created a beautiful line of custom greeting cards. She is a serious book lover and is currently developing a bookstore on the property that specializes in British writers. We have both lived on the Olympic Peninsula for over thirty years and plan on traveling as often as we can, exploring our own country, especially the south western United States, when we're not hosting that is. Even then we truly believe we live in a beautiful and unique place with both grand mountains and lots of blue water.
