Our family of 4 adults had a great time at Huckleberry Cottage. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom which made it ideal for us. The kitchen is a bit small for the size of the house but very well equipped and organized and everything is spotless. Internet was good enough to hop on some Teams calls when worked called. The proximity to Huckleberry Rock Trail made it easy to take morning hikes and private access to the lake with kayaks and paddle boards was just a short walk away. Although on a road, the area was very quiet. Janet and Aaron have thought of everything a visitor could possibly need--from extra fans in all the bedrooms to storage containers in the kitchen. They even made us feel right at hope with a lovely welcome gift.

We were a family with grandparents, 2 couples, a toddler and a baby. This is probably the nicest Airbnb we have stayed at. Totally family and child friendly, with toys, chairs, crib, pack n play, kitchen utensils. Lots of little extra's, cheese and crackers to greet us upon arrival. Extremely well equipped kitchen, the Muskoka room was sound proof and great for the rainy day and early morning playing with the little ones. All the rooms were so clean and beautifully set up. The host Janet and Aaron were so friendly and accommodating and put lots of effort to make their place special. The private beach is across the road from the cottage, we had a beautiful view of the lake and the walk to the beach was not an issue at all, maybe 5 minutes. Each bedroom was beautifully decorated and had its own bathroom. We had a wonderful long extended weekend. Would love to return next year. Janet & Aaron’s property is beautiful, they really go over and above to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. The water is perfect for small children it is clear and very shallow. Lots of water toys available as well. Three things I would mention to future renters is Aaron & Janet stay on the property, they have another place on the grounds very close by. To get to the water you have to cross a road, they mentioned this at the time of booking and we did not find it an issue. Thirdly the bedroom with the king size bed is in the middle of the main living/kitchen & solarium room so it is a high traffic zone & definitely has the least amount of privacy, all other rooms are located upstairs. Location is wonderful you are 7 mins from Port Carling & 10mins to Bracebridge so you can go for a little drive & do a little shopping. Overall our family had a great week!

Our family has stayed at a number of rental properties and found this one to have the most thoughtful touches. It was super clean and comfortable. It was really ideal for a large family with members of mixed ages (2-68). Everyone had a wonderful time and would be happy to return.

I would not change a thing about Janet and Aaron’s home! Everything was so comfortable cozy and clean. The lake is beautiful and serene and they made us feel right at home. Truly an unforgettable week on the lake - hope to return!
