Immaculate, spacious cottage in a quiet location.

Beautiful place to stay. Very accommodating. Quite private lovely location. Great host. Should mention that wifi is not unlimited prior to booking - enjoyed our stay. Great place overall!
The place was located a nice distance outside Ohakune, making it very quiet but close enough to get to town quickly. It was SUPER cosy. The fire did a great job of keeping it warm and plenty of wood to go around. The kitchen was nice and had heaps of amenities if you like to cook. The yard was fun to kick the ball around, and there was a ripe apple or three on the tree, and the kids enjoyed them. The view was terrific, and the trundle bed was extraordinarily comfortable not just for the kids but for the napping adults too. We were there 4 days, and the final night we “ran out” of internet. Didn’t know it was limited, but it wasn’t a big deal. To break the silence of the night, we’d streamed The Lord of the Rings on Netflix all night long for background noise for the kids. Guess that’ll burn through heaps of bandwidth! All in all, it was great. We would stay there again tomorrow.
Beautiful setting and lovely character filled home, a little bigger than expected. Would like to have had more time there! Wonderful firebox -easy to light. We enjoyed the large comfy couch & fresh coffee!

My husband Vance and I bought the cottage as our first home in 1996. It is our retreat, a loved ongoing project, our favourite place to be and a true reflection of our happiness. We are passionate snow lovers and grateful we have given that gift to our children, that we are still blessed with agility to enjoy the mountains summer or winter.
