We absolutely loved our stay at this home. Ross provided clear instructions on locating and accessing the property. We have never stayed at an Airbnb like this home, it was the coolest experience staying “off grid”. As others have stated, we had to turn the generator on a couple times but it only added to the experience. We truly enjoyed being so remote and walking the property freely with our dogs. The fenced yard was a huge added bonus and there’s even dog beds in the home. The barn on the property was super neat, we took a walk there each morning. The deck is the best part of the home with the most amazing view. We enjoyed our coffee by the firepit each morning and the sunsets were wonderful. Ross was the most amazing host and helped fix a minor issue during our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure our family was comfortable in the home. We will most definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone!

First, let me say this place is in a beautiful and serene location, and Ross was extremely communicative and welcoming. However, there are a couple things that are good to know before booking. 1) this place requires traveling down a very short (1/2 mile) but fairly poor quality dirt road. We did fine in our SUV but a low-to-ground sports car might have some trouble. 2) We did have to go up the hill (less than 50 feet from the home) to turn on the generator three times during our stay. Ross did make us aware of this, and it was not a big deal at all. But it is something to be aware of. Overall, I’d highly recommend this wonderful home for a peaceful weekend getaway. We loved seeing the stars at night, and all the wild turkeys in the morning :)

Beautiful setting. Loved the views and wildlife. Excellent outdoor area to watch the stars while drinking coffee and keeping warm by the fire pit. Ross is an excellent host.

Great cabin, had all we needed & more. It's only 20 min from the town of Julian, which we enjoyed, especially the pies. From the cabin we got to see lots of wildlife like wild turkeys, deers, squirrels , wood peckers, hawks , just so many different birds, it was amazing. The home has great board games & DVD movies for the family. There are hiking & biking trails. We all felt at home & had so much fun . I recommend Ross's listing if you want to get away up in the mountains wether its with family or for a romantic getaway vacation. Thank you Ross
