This was my 3rd time staying at CMO. Fortunately, this is the only time I have had a unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, I’m unsure if we will be back because of it. Upon arriving we were greeted with several polite children helping to put up Christmas decorations. They were helpful in telling us where to park and put our belongings. This is the first time I have stayed at CMO and had no other AIRBNB parties present which helped our group to be able to use all amenities and not feel we were being intrusive to others. When entering the kitchen we were met with a severe fruit fly infestation that inhibited us from leaving any food/utensils/cookware out in the open. We asked for help but were sure we would have a difficult teaching someone since the next day was Thanksgiving. We made over 15 traps with contents we purchased. Every evening each trap was filled with anywhere from 50-150 flies. On thanksgiving someone said they would help but did not. No one responded until we left.

This was a perfect stay for our family. It could have been cleaner in the main building but it was great other that! The kids had the playground to play at while we were cooking dinner in the kitchen they had a blast running around and exploring the grounds! The little second hand store came in handy when one of my kiddos forgot their shoes. The environment provided a safe space for everyone so that we could relax and enjoy the down time of our vacation there. The rest of the time was spent hiking so it was wonderful to come back and actually relax!

This was our second trip to CMO. Our first trip was incredible and fun. This time however we were not informed that the shared space (not including the kitchen) was completely trashed from a construction project. Everything was covered in bits of foam and spray foam ceiling tile pieces and dust . Shared tables were covered in cloths and other odds and ends. The back half of the shared living room was littered with clutter and Christmas decor. We spent the first several hours of our day cleaning and vacuuming the floor and sofa so we had a place to hang out. Until then communication was good. Then on our second day others arrived and none of the 4 bathrooms had toilet paper and we had to go buy our own because no one responded to us about this. We wound up having overflowing garbages and no dish soap or paper towels (both of which we also had to buy). It would have been nice to have been told about the construction ahead of time. Regardless we all still had a great time.
