Welcome to Smáratún Farm - located in South Iceland! You’ll be staying in our Tiny-House Wooden Cabin, with Reception (and check-in!) located at Hotel Fljótshlíð. Inside our Tiny Cabins you will find 1x Double Bed (+ 1x Single Bed OR Sofa) + 1x Tiny Bathroom with a Shower + Table & 2x Chairs + Tea & Coffee Shelf! Located near your Cabin you will also find our Guesthouse - in case you’d like to have Kitchen Access. In the Tiny-House Cabin you will find 1x Double Bed (+ 1x Single Bed OR Sofa) + 1x Tiny Bathroom with a Shower + Table & 2x Chairs + Tea & Coffee Shelf! Located near your Cabin you will also find our Guesthouse - in case you’d like to have Kitchen Access (it is fully equipped with everything you need: Cook & Dishware, 2x Fridges, Stove, Oven, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle & Coffee Station). And you can also relax on the grass field surrounding your Tiny Cabin! Surrounding your Little House, we have a gorgeous setting of the Fljótshlíð Valley with a view of Eyjafjallajökull Volcano (yes - a Volcano just outside your Cabin)! And you could get lucky to befriend one of our sheep or Icelandic Horses.

The chalet was as described. You can sleep well in the tiny house for one night. The location is very quiet and idyllic.

Fljótshlíð Area is peaceful and wonderful! Our Hotel Grounds are surrounded by our Farm (where you can spot Icelandic Horses, Sheep, Goats, Cows, and Wild Geese) with clear views of Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. Within a 1-hour drive, you can reach anything your heart desires to see in Iceland: Waterfalls, Mountains, Glaciers… and even a little Forest. At our Reception & Concierge Desk in Hotel Fljótshlíð, you can ask for local recommendations & get our FREE SELF-GUIDE BOOK!

出行信息

The best way to reach us is via 261 Road (coming from Hvolsvöllur/Road 1), and entering ‘Hotel Fljótshlíð’ into your Map/GPS! Follow this Road for 13km (around 10-15 minute drive) - until you see our Smáratún / Hótel Fljótshlíð SIGN. As a Guest, you can park your car for FREE outside our Hotel - and our Large Cabins all have a FREE parking spot in front of the Houses too.
Alternatively, you can take the Road 250 (ROUGH GRAVEL ROAD) if you are coming from the direction of Vík. We only recommend this for 4x4 Cars! Once you reach the crossing at the end of 250, turn to the left onto Road 261 and follow it for 5km - until you see our sign for Smáratún / Hótel Fljótshlíð. See you soon!
