I had a nice one month stay at Ilda and Laurinda's place in Machico - during the last week my wife joined me. Ilda met me when I arrived at the place and gave me all the instructions and advice I needed. During my first two weeks there we regularly communicated - Ilda was quick to respond and very helpful whenever I had a question or concern. The apartment has great views of the two hills that straddle the town. The beach is why I came to Machico, and the pleasant walk to the beach takes 10 minutes through the center of the town. There is one restaurant that is around the corner from the building, and several that are within a 10 minute walk. Three supermarkets are within 5 minutes walk. The weekend before my wife arrived Ilda and Laurinda cleaned the apartment again - that was very generous of them. The bus station is a five minute walk, and we took the bus easily to Funchal and some other spots on Madeira. We plan to return next year and highly recommend Ilda and Laurininda's place.

We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. Met Ilda for check in and received great amount of information about the place itself, things to do/see in&around Machico. Location of the apartment is superb-close vicinity to hikes, supermarkets, taxi&bus station, restaurants&beach. The apartment was very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, super clean and with great views, too. Ilda was very friendly and always responsive to our questions when we needed something. I can only recommend staying at her apartment and we will come back next time. Thank you, Ilda 👍🏻

We had a wonderful stay! Laurinda & Ilda are great hosts, they're incredibly helpful and responsive. The property was also in a great location, very nice inside, and served our needs wonderfully. I'd recommend them as hosts, and the property, to anyone.

Lovely stay ,, the hosts were wonderful , so helpful and very professional, treated us with alot of kindness and even added a special touch, Leaving us coffee & tea and a special traditional cake for us to taste , offered her washer including detergent etc. Would highly recommend this wonderful place ,, we loved how clean it was,, thanks to the very kind hosts! 😊

Ubicación muy buena, en el centro de Machico y cerca de la playa, de supermercados y restaurantes. De las pocas zonas de madeira sin cuestas, por lo que era fácil salir a pasear y a cenar por el centro del pueblo aunque llegáramos cansados. Acceso muy rapido desde carreteras principales. El apartamento estaba muy limpio, muy bien amueblado, moderno, y muy completo. El sofá muy cómodo y amplio, pero la cama es de muelles y demasiado dura. En el salón se oye algo de tráfico si se abre la puerta de la terraza pero el dormitorio es muy tranquilo, que es lo importante. El parking es muy amplio y es estupendo poder contar con él. Anfitrionas perfectas. Sin duda volveríamos.
