This was our forth stay (number 5 already booked) which tells you a lot!!! We cannot recommend this listing more highly (or their other lodge called Beech next door!). We have stayed at both and they are very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and most importantly Hilary is the perfect host…lots of info/great communication/friendly/flexible to our requests. The location is both beautiful and interesting being alongside an active narrow boat marina on the Shropshire Union canal. Although the water is close, this unit is very child friendly with very large deck that is gated and fully enclosed, and a back/side lawn that is hedged and well protected! Our your grandchildren have visited, as have other friends with toddler age children, and it has worked very very well. So although we visit as a semi retired couple, happy to recommend for families also!

This is a wonderful, warm, spotlessly clean and very well equipped lodge in an idyllic setting. Hilary is an excellent host, being entirely unobtrusive but available whenever needed. The location is simply perfect with utter peace (except when the geese go to bed), level walking and an excellent cafe about 5 minutes away. Just wonderful and we have already booked again.
