The house was amazing! Gorgeous views and peaceful surroundings. The place is very rustic. If you dont like wildlife in its own habitat then this is not the place for you. I needed a place with serenity and a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This place met all of my expectations. The host is very responsive, and the housekeepers come to check on you frequently. The only thing I wish I knew before hand was that its about 15 -20 minutes from town and that there is a 2 mile dirt road on the way to the house with nothing but potholes. It is difficult to get in and out of the property. So I didn't leave the house often. It was my first time to Cat Island and I will definitely be back.

the house is made up of 3 pods, one living room & kitchen and 2 that were bedrooms and bathrooms. this was very common there. the deck overlooking the beach was our favorite spot. everything was in clean working order. Sherri and her husband, Debbie, and Daisy were very helpful and made sure we gad everything we needed. we enjoyed the long walkable beach, beautiful water and sunsets. the kayaks were fun to use too. we only snorkled once. the big rocks in the water made it a little difficult to snorkel and we didn't see many fishes but maybe it was just that day. part of the road to get to the house is rough, so I recommend renting a jeep or suv. we found everyone very friendly. if you want peace and quiet this is the place. if you want to talk to people , go to a restaurant and everyone is pleasant and chats. wonderful house and beautiful island.

We were looking for a peaceful place to get away, and this was it! When you walk out the door, you’re 20 feet from the ocean. To the left there are no houses for miles. To the right there are a handful of other houses, but we didn’t see anyone else the entire trip. We pretty much had miles of pristine beaches all to ourselves. Sherri‘s place is very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We felt safe letting our two young boys run around all week. The sunsets from the porch were amazing. We even cracked open a fresh coconut we found on the beach. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves was incredible. We can’t recommend this place more to people looking for peaceful getaway. Sherri’s place was the most amazing and secluded place we could have ever hoped to spend our anniversary. Peace and quiet with all the amenities at your disposal and the wind and sea speaking to you all night long. So much marine life to see while snorkeling right off the house. Could not have asked for a better location. Shanna’s Cove did not disappoint for the meals we opted to not cook. If you want time away from everything then you must visit this pristine tropical paradise. Thank you to such amazing people.

Perfection! We loved everything about our stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, and the location is absolutely amazing! We loved kayaking out to various deserted beaches and snorkeling right off our front steps/beach. Sherri is a great communicator and made us feel very welcome. Thank you to our awesome hosts - we will definitely be back!
