We enjoyed a very peaceful And comfortable stay at Simon’s house. We had everything we needed , the log fire was a real bonus and the location perfect for our walks into the hills.

We have stayed in 4 cottages over 4 weeks & this was one of the best. Super warm and cosy, very well located in Braemar & fantastic walks from the door. Pub only 100m too. It was the most expensive of all the places we stayed but it is Braemar. We will be back.

We spent an amazing 4 days at Simon’s place and absolutely loved it. It’s nice and cozy. Lack of WiFi and tv was fantastic and let us properly relax from the daily routine. Super close to local amenities and fantastic walk opportunities. Peace, quiet and coziness we needed. I’d highly recommend.

We were sad to leave Braemar, such a breathtaking place! Simon’s cottage was warm/cosy and well equipped for our family with two small children. The cottage is in the perfect location quiet and private but in the heart of the village so everything is in walking distance. We had the best stay, thank you! ☺️

Loved our stay at Thornbank Cottage. The woodburner was a godsend in the sub-zero temperatures, and our fur-baby was so happy and settled there. Nice big fully fenced garden that we could let her explore, and we even saw a red squirrel! There's a nice wood behind the cottage which was great for dog walks, and you can walk straight onto the high street from the front garden. Bedrooms are cosy and well appointed, it's clear that a lot of care goes in to preparing the house for guests!
