Jody was a perfect host!! The house is much nicer than the pictures show, as most of it has already been remodeled...in case the pictures haven't been updated yet. It's the perfect setup for a large or smaller groups!! Separate/Split locking entrances (Coded, so parents can't get locked out...good plan Jody!) to the areas for those that want/need a little more privacy, but don't have to be closed or locked for a group that likes to be more open or closer, like ours. It has large open spaces, so everyone can be together too. The description sounds confusing, but when you see it, it's quite simple. Jody met us at the property and did a quick walk through... said that if we needed anything to just let him know. Checked in with us during our stay to see if we needed anything and was very thoughtful! Jody answered and approved our rental in just two hours! I'm sure he had to jump through some hoops to get the place ready for us on such short notice! Our large group had an unusually short very last minute rental (Just a few hours.) request, as our Mom was about to have open heart triple bypass and we had all traveled from Alaska, Alabama and Georgia and needed a place much closer (only 10 minutes) than an hour and a half away from the hospital. The house has all the amenities you'd need, even a few we would normally bring, but had forgotten due to the last minute arrangements. He made our travel plans go very smoothly! Thanks again Jody!

Function over fashion here. Lots of room and beds/bedrooms. Great location if you want to be on the west side of Des Moines. The home could use a little TLC, and we were missing a few little amenities like hand soap in one bathroom. But we put the kitchen to good use and the cable TV was a nice feature for when we were relaxing. Jody was great to work with and answered any questions he had. Safe, quiet neighborhood that was easily accessible and had good parking options for more than one vehicle. Good place for a big group that doesn't need anything overly fancy.
