First and foremost the location was absolutely beautiful! There's so much room to wander and explore and that was our favorite thing to do on the first day we got there. Impeccable location and I can't say enough about that. Having access to your own private lake with a trail around it also made it all that much better. Location! Location! Location! So, it's a wooden cabin which is exactly what we wanted for our kids, BUT, know this: it's rickety, squeaky, and if there's any wind at all, it's going to create some interesting noises all night long. Unfortunately during our stay we were in some pretty bad weather (3 separate tornado warnings) so the carport next to the cabin took a whipping and clanged ALL NIGHT LONG! A couple of downers: both the TV and Roku remotes were dead and the Wifi is VERY weak. If you've got more than 1 device, forget about it. I had to install a premium Roku remote app just to use the TV. Bummer. Overall though, it was a nice spring break spent in East TX.

Another great stay! This is the second time we’ve stayed on the property (Mermaid & Butterfly rentals). It’s so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the lake, walking the trails, and spending time with family. Highly recommend. :)
