This is the first and biggest of the Templer German colonies in the holy land. Their religious mission was to bring alive this land that was torn and neglected. They are the first to bring technology and knowledge in many aspects and among them building skills and style that lasts till today.
The Ben Gurion ave is studded with cafes and restaurants, all the way up to the lower entrance of the Bahai Gardens. Left of that is the authentic and yet ungentrified arabic quarter of Wadi Nisnas , with typical architecture, flavors and aromas.
If you cross the avenue from the building and head up Jaffa road you are in the Downtown, bars and cafes and more hipster vibe.

Walking around is very practical and will expose the different layers of Haifa to you.
Yet you have many other options to get around.
Metronit - a 24/7 bus with designated lane that passes infront of the house will take you to the beaches, along the downtown and to the central bus stations
Train - the station of Merkaz Hashmona is just 7 minutes walk from us.
Buses - up the street there are bus stops that will take you anywhere in Haifa or even to Nazareth.
Carmelit - the shortest funicular in the world will take you from the down town all the way up to the top of the carmel mountain, with stop in different neighborhoods. The closest station is in Paris square just up Jaffa road.
