Welcome to The Meadow, nestled in a quiet corner of Broughton Hampshire, an idyllic 2 acre setting tucked away and peaceful, yet only 5 mins to the convenience of this typical English village. Whether you prefer to take the rowing boat out on the lake, play tennis on the grass court, or sit quietly by the Wallop Brook watching the trout and ducklings cruise by, or chill in the outdoor heated pool, your time at The Meadow is your own to relax and enjoy the stunning setting as you wish... This package offers exclusive use of The Meadow Glamping in Hampshire! Your break would be for up to 10 people and includes: 🦆 Exquisite accommodation in the stunning surroundings of The Meadow, accommodating 6 people, sleeping in our 3 unique glamping units - Wild Billy’s, Mary’s Place our super cool 23ft narrowboat The Magic Rat (each sleeps 2 people)! 🦆 Plus our 2 stylish Annexe rooms by the main house, accommodating another 4 guests, which have two double bedrooms, it's own private entrance and is completely self contained (these are a 2 min walk to the glamping units). 🦆 THE most stunning river and lake side setting, with firepits lit and hammock beckoning. 🦆 Use of our original grass tennis court. 🦆 Access to ‘Solution’, our beautiful rowing boat on the lake! 🦆 Outdoor games such as boules and our popular home made ‘corn hole’ game can also be provided. We were a group booking and had a THE best time! This is a truly magical Glamping site run by two very lovely people. The surroundings are so beautiful - even in “bad weather” we had such a wonderful time and were able to enjoy a cosy heater, a good game of card and views of the pond under a sizeable marquee on the decking by the summer house with sturdy table and chairs. As well as a great communal option each Glamping unit has its own special hang out area, fire making facilities and scenic private hangout. The Glamping units are so truly unique and waking up to so much nature is really special - the sounds of nature just surround you. We also had fun using the rowing boat and tennis court and the local village is very cute and full of friendly the people - pub was great too. Showers are super comfortable and warm - everything was so easy. Thank you for really special and memorable weekend
A well-laid out , unique and safe site, beautifully kept and the owners have thought of everything - there were so many thoughtful touches. We took the whole site with friends and kids and had a fabulous time. There is lots to do nearby and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and responsive. We enjoyed boating, tennis, barbecues and campfires - we were even lent football goals for the kids - and the beds were comfy with hot water bottles, plenty of barbecuing equipment, firefighters etc. The whole site was clean and well thought out. Highly recommended.
We had the most magical few days at The Meadow. Each little section is beautifully decorated and maintained with huge attention to detail. So unique and lovely! Add to this the stunning nature all around you and incredibly kind & helpful host truly makes this a spectacular venue. We will definitely be back! I miss the lake already.
A really well thought out place, perfect for a weekend away if you’re looking for something a little different. The hosts are great and have taken lots of time to ensure you have everything you need. Would recommend.
Fantastic site and great setting for a group weekend away. Very quirky accommodation with very detailed touches to make our stay very comfy and memorable. Proximity to Broughton and also Stockbridge (5-10 minute drive) also provides the opportunity to get out and about. Particular highlight was cooking on the fire pit during a beautifully sunny summer evening. Would happily go back

Broughton is a large village, so walking or cycling is the way to go! We are at the mid point on the Clarendon Way which links the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester. A short distance away is the Test Way, we also have some beautiful walks and cycle paths / routes in and around the village itself including on Broughton Down Nature Reserve. We have further details and maps as required. We also have a separate document with information on local restaurants, days out and things to do. I worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 20 years. After marrying Pete and having our two boys (now aged 15 and 13) we realised my career didn’t fit our lives too well so looking for a more creative role I began renovating houses, but always dreamed of moving into renovating and creating funky Glamping units from trains, buses, gypsy wagons etc etc!!! We finally found a site and started work in 2018. After a lot of hard work we created Wild Billy’s Wagon and Mary’s Place at The Meadow. Life is now pretty idyllic living and running our Glamping in the most beautiful setting and amazing village.
