Ethel’s cottage is a great location near the national lakeshore and beautiful iconic towns. The view from the cottage is breathtaking with direct access to Lake Herendeen for much fun on kayaks, canoes, and swimming. The cottage itself has everything you may need for cooking, relaxing, a wonderful shower, plus a big yard with fire pits and a great stack of firewood. I recommend staying at Ethel’s cottage 100%. The town of Lake Ann was also a treat with a unique grocery store great brewery and live music throughout the week.

We loved our stay! The cottage was extremely roomy; five of us weren't bumping into each other at all; plenty of room for each of us to do what we needed to do--work, sleep, read, watch TV, cook, put together a jigsaw puzzle, hang out outside. Super clean. Super comfortable--quickly felt like home. The kayak and paddle board that we rented through Lori's company were great fun, as the lake is lovely and is connected to another lake, giving us plenty of room for an extended boating experience. Lori was accessible and helpful. She thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with little items like spices, cocoa powder, cooking oil that we had not thought to bring with us. Great shower. Plenty of outdoor space and some fun play equipment for children. Two fire pits which we enjoyed. We will definitely ask to stay there again should we be back in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ethel's Cottage. It was spacious, included good wifi and cable TV, had a kitchen stocked with everything you need and a laundry room. There were 2 spots for a camp fire, 2 boats, and a private dock, and a playground for the kids. It had several outdoor seating spots. The place was clean and well stocked with towels, games, books, puzzles. The house doesn't have AC, so it was pretty hot when we arrived. It was 90 degrees our first day, but the good thing is that it cools down a lot in Lake Ann, so even though it was a hot day, it was cool enough at night to sleep. There are a ton of windows and at least 3 large box fans, so it kept the place cool. The only difficult with the place was that the middle floor is elevated, so to get to the bathroom, bedrooms, living room, or kitchen, you have to go down a step. Since we had a 1 year old, we had to watch her pretty closely so she wouldn't fall down the stairs. So we couldn't just let her play without blocking off the exits to whatever room she was in. Lori was a great host and communicated quickly with us, and when we decided we wanted to add one more night to our stay, she helped us figure that out. I'd highly recommend Ethel's Cottage.
