The place was beautiful and peaceful with lots of nature around! inside it was clean, organized, and very neat! Melissa is also very helpful and proactive in communicating how to get to the place, recommendations around, and anything you need. Very recommended!
Melissa’s house was super clean and cute. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in that area.
This spot in Teche Country has towering bald cypress trees, live oaks, wildflowers, and wild birds just steps outside. Staying on the property takes you back in time and the Bayou Little Teche meandering through makes the perfect setting. Many opportunities to take in nature and Melissa made us feel right at home and I hope to visit again.
The neighborhood is very quiet. The Little Teche Bayou is a small tributary to the Teche. During the spring rains the water is wide and flowing. During the hot summer the water is low and only 6' wide in some areas. That being said, its only pretty to look at. Its not good for fishing or entering. Keep eyes open for snakes and critters.
There is parking. The home is on a newly paved road with no thru traffic. All you really hear is nature. Know that all the overhead fans and light operate from the switches on the wall with one exception. The dining only has one switch, so you'll have to pull the chain for the fan.
