Some guides I prepared for anyone who visits our place, with all my personal recommendations. Hope you find it helpful 👍
Go to bikini beach for some swimming and relaxation - The beach has a shallow lagoon that is also good for practicing snorkeling.
Walk to "C" island during low tide - This little island is right next to the island (visible from the right side of the bikini beach). During low tide, you can cross over and after some walking along a rocky path (carry your slippers), you will find one of the best vantage points from which to watch some beautiful surfing go down. Grab a seat on a nearby coral (with care as they can be sharp) and enjoy the show!
Try snorkeling from the south side of the island - Just opposite our villa there is a sea wall, below which there is a small beach. Cross it, on to the lagoon where you can do some lovely snorkeling. If you are lucky, you will spot baby sharks, lovely corals and little colourful fish. Best at mid-high tide and not ideal for beginners.
Walk along the sea wall at night - One of the nicest point from which to enjoy the breeze and do some star gazing at night.
Explore the island by bicycle - Rent a bicycle from the friendly people at IBR and explore the beautiful greenery of the island. They have hourly, daily and weekly rates
Try night fishing - One of the most relaxing and must-try excursions on our list. Hop on a boat just before sunset, cruise around watching the sun go down as we find a spot to anchor the boat and learn how to catch fish the Maldives way - under the stars! A magical experience. Take what you catch and ask your restaurant to cook it for you.
Try a BBQ lunch at a Sandbank - This trip can be combined with snorkeling. Enjoy the views and try some snorkeling while the guides do the fishing. Eat what they catch with a BBQ lunch right on the beach!
Try Surfing - On an island famous for surfing, its one of the must-do activities! Beginners can try surfing at one of the beginner spots nearby. Ask our guides for more information.
Try Scuba Diving - If you enjoyed snorkeling, Scuba diving should be next on your list. Ask your host to book an appointment with a local dive centre and they will provide you with all the required information.
