Take this review with a grain of salt because it's not about the apt listed - the morning of arrival we got a private WhatsApp message from the owner that he changed our apt to a different one (in the same building). I am not sure of the reason, but he said that it would work better for us because the apt is better (I didn't have the patience at the moment to ask too many questions, so I just said ok feeling like I didn't have much choice anyhow). The apt itself looked like it was recently renovated and looked really great (new bathroom, new kitchen, nice furniture, etc) so I was not bothered by the change. The location (Moshav Shoresh) was perfect for us as we were visiting family nearby. In general, it's a beautiful area with beautiful views, hikes, etc but this particular apt faces a parking lot that's right next to a wedding venue, so not much of a view, and we had loud wedding music on some of the nights till about 10pm. For most people, it's brob not a big deal, but I was with two small kids who go to sleep early, so it wasn't the best. I've stayed in this building a few times before (in other apts), so I knew about the wedding venue, but I've always stayed on the other side of the building, facing the beautiful mountains, and never heard the noises from that side. Once again, this review is about the replacement apt; I don't know if the original listing is for an apt facing the venue or the mountains (I think the owner has a few apts listed in the same building). The apt also had ants issue in the kitchen, and no matter how much I cleaned, they seemed to come back. Ants in Israel are very common, so it's not a huge deal, just requires that the owner will spray and take care of this for future visits. The AC worked great in the main space but not so much in the rooms. Again, not a huge prob because this part of Israel is not so hot and there's a nice breeze in the evenings, but was a bit annoying for us since the kids sleep with the door closed and it got hot at night despite the AC fully on. The Owner said that I might have messed up with the setting (possible, though it's a pretty basic thermostat, so I'm not sure) so I'd suggest either fixing the AC in the rooms if indeed it's not working well or leaving a note with detailed instructions so visitors can manage the settings. All other amenities worked great. Shoresh's pool is really great and is located right next to the building so it's very convenient. Note about the pool- it's not open for visitors on Fridays (the rest of the week ok) and you have to buy a 10-visit ticket ahead of time (can't get a one-day ticket). There's free and safe parking in the building, which is great. There's a small mini-market within a walking distance and a nice park for kids to play at. lot's of picnic areas around as well and a nice small forest also within a walking distance. Moshe, the owner was a great communicator, mostly via WhatsApp but he replied quickly and took care of our needs. He left us fruits, coffee, and milk (THANKS! :) and was a good host. Overall, I'd recommend this apt as long as you're ok with music in the evenings (not too late) and that he takes care of the ants and the AC in the rooms (which I'm sure he will since he seemed like a responsible and responsive host).

We had a wonderful stay at Moshe’s apartment. Shoresh was a relaxing and quiet place to escape the noise of the city. Moshe was an attentive host who was available to help with anything we needed. We highly recommend this Airbnb stay!

Great apartment - clean and comfortable and location was perfect for what we needed. Hosts were very attentive and responded promptly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend.
