After confirmation of our booking the host referred us to a local contact person who asked us for additional payments for cleaning costs. The advertisement for our booking had explicitly stated ‘cleaning costs are included in the rental fee’, however, this fact was denied. In discussions on site the local contact person even denied we’d booked via AirBnB while we had our AirBnB confirmation with paid invoice. The ‘host’ Loic, Estelle & Co appeared to be an agency abroad (Homerez) and provided no support. It seems Homerez is using AirBnB for sub-contracting with local owners (against a significant piece of the AirBnB-fees). In our follow-up contacts Loic, Estelle & Co suggested to have updated the advertisement for the apartment recently but we can’t see any difference. That said we’ve enjoyed the location of the apartment in the historic centre. The kitchen, bathroom and furniture however are clearly very old. Also the WiFi network did not work which we reported to the local contact person, who simply denied the fact. We can’t recommend this rental for future use.

The apartment is incredible with a beautiful view overseeing the coastline into the sea. The owner was also very kind and accommodating. A perfect place and size for anyone solo travelling or in a couple!
