This was my first use of AirBNB so had no idea what to expect. Price was competitive and the location is superb. Literally a five minute stroll into the historic part of Rochester. Katie's communication was excellent, prompt and helpful and she met me at the property on arrival. The cottage is charming. Low ceilings, antique furniture and a great main bedroom. It is actually really peaceful considering how close it is to the town. As I mentioned the ceilings are low given it's age so i did have one head banging moment but the moral of the story is don't walk around while reading your Ipad! The cottage was clean and well maintained and I actually feel the photos online don't do it full justice in how quaint and 'cute' it is. It was a great break and helped us to really switch off for a couple of days so would heartily recommend it. Parking was literally outside the property and I promise you will not find an alternative to High Street Hotels that put you this close to the Castle!

Quirky, quaint but comfortable ancient cottage. We loved staying in such an historic property which is in close proximity to the centre of Rochester. Our host was delightful and did everything she could to make sure our week’s stay was perfect.

What a wonderful, characterful house. Dating back to the 1400's you will be charmed by its historic features and period look and feel (although reassuringly all mod cons eg wifi are also in place). The house is very close to the castle, the cathedral, the river and Rochester High Street's indy shops. Catherine was a really helpful and attentive host. A really special stay - five stars. Best for a couple, two or three friends or a small family with one older child - the beautiful antiques would not mix well with smaller children.
