I have photographic and video evidence of Everything that happened. Also screenshots! I do not lie or exaggerate to plead my case. First off, me and Pedro started off on good terms. He met me at the apartment and helped me get Wi-Fi. He was very polite and seemed like an amazing guy. The first problem I ran into was the shower. It would fill up about 4 minutes of showering and would almost start pouring over onto the floor. So I had to keep my showers under 4 minutes. It would take the shower 6-8 hours to drain. I honestly thought this was just a tactic to limit shower time to save water. It wasn’t what I was used to but I accepted it. But it turns out they drain was EXTREMELY clogged with hair, dirt, sand, and debris. And after the water drained the bottom of the shower was covered with all of that. I didn’t call him about this until the shower didn’t drain for nearly 2 days which meant I couldn’t shower. I couldn’t turn on the water in the shower because the shower was still full and would run into the floor. It also created a horrible fishy smell. I messaged him that night. In the meantime I ended up heating some water in a pot and taking a “ birdbath” and putting a towel down to catch the water. Moments later the water in the apartment just stopped working. None in the kitchen or bathroom. I sent him another message on WhatsApp. When using what’s up you can see when the person is online and when they had read your message. Throughout that whole next day I seen Pedro online many many times but he had still not opened my message. I knew he had a job and was very considerate of that. He didn’t respond that day. The next time he was online all day but still didn’t open my messages. So I video called him from WhatsApp, he answered and I told him what was going on. He said he would be there after work. It was super late and he had still not came by or messaged me. So I messaged him and told him that I was tired and was going to sleep. The next day comes and he had still not came. I sent him a couple more messages. Now I was really pissed. I didn’t have a problem with the with the water being off, I had a problem with him ignoring me and ignoring the situation. I am a very relaxed guy and I don’t like to complain. But I hadn’t been able to take a proper shower, was dishes, or use the bathroom. I tried to hold my bowels and not use the toilet so there wouldn’t be any unpleasant site or smell when they arrived. Anyway, the shower finally drains and I message him to let him know that the shower had drained but the water was still off. Pedro calls me to tell me someone is coming by the apartment to fix the water. The guy shows up ( with no mask) and doesn’t even know what he’s doing. He actually asks ME if I have any tools.. LOL. The guy keeps coming in and out of the apartment then finally doesn’t return. A couple of hours go by and Pedro FINALLY shows up with his friend (neither have masks and Pedros breath was horrible). I tell him about the shower and he tells me that all I need to do was unclog the drain… (I paid over $500 and shouldn’t have to do a damn thing) and then procedes to unclog it.. it was disgusting. A handful of hair and black junk. And the smell was horrible. Then another guy shows up who I’m guessing is a plumber. He goes in and gets the water back on after 5-10 minutes. Pedro explains to me that the reason he couldn’t answer me or come by is because he was working ( this is bullshit). The last audio message he sent me sounded like he was totally drunk. Anyway, I said ok, and thanked them all. They left but as Pedro was walking out, I guess he noticed a problem with the door, so he went over to the cabinet , got the bottle of olive olive oil (THAT I BOUGHT) put his dirty finger on the top to get some out and then lubricated the door with it and left. I threw the olive oil away after that. Another issue I had a problem with was being unable to use the washer and dryer. I talk to him about where I should go in the building to wash and dry my clothes. He tells me where to go to find the the laundry room. A few days later it’s time for me to wash my clothes and I go looking for the laundry room. I can’t find it. So I go to the doorman and try to see if he can help me. My Portuguese isn’t good at all and he didn’t speak English. I knew the word for laundry room and just said that to him and held up my bag of clothes. He just says to me “ NO NO NO NO NO NO” with an attitude and shaking his head. I know there is a language barrier but he wouldn’t even try to talk to me. So I leave and hear him laughing with the other guy in the room with him. (This guy was extremely rude to me almost every time I needed to go out or come in the gate). So anyway, I wasn’t even going to try to contact Pedro because I know he wouldn’t answer me. So I hand wash my clothes in the sink with some detergent, then boil them in a pot to disinfect them. O anfitrião Pedro é atencioso, gentil, prático e objetivo. Encontrei o espaço organizado, harmõnico, limpo, agradável. Precisei de informação por mais vezes, Pedro foi solícito e prestativo. Passei sete dias no apartamento, em viagem sozinha, logo a gentileza no trato e a presteza foram de máxima importãncia. Gostei do espaço, voltaria. Melhor, VOLTAREI. O apartamento é muito bem localizado. Fui almoçar no Restaurante Casa de Vina, casa onde Vinicíus de Morais morou, fica muito perto. Realmente, uma experiência agradável, sobretudo neste tempo difícil para viagem e turismo.
