Socrate's Holidays Apartments with a brand new swimming pool is a new build accommodation with modern furniture in a quiet area 500 meters away from the beach which is ideal to spend marvelous and relaxed vacation. At its spacious garden lawn grass there are sun beds and umbrellas to enjoy the sun. The apartment provides everything required so that you can feel like home whereas the hosts will try their best to offer you their Cretan hospitality. This wonderful apartment situated at the ground floor with its amazing swimming pool is suitable not only for adults but also for toddlers since it is integrated with a shallow children’s pool, including sun beds, parasols, a veranda and outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy your meals in the green environment. It has an open plan kitchen, dining and living space with a TV, a bathroom with shower and two bedrooms with double bed. Moreover, it provides free linen and towels, Wi-Fi free Internet, a TV, a private parking lot, an air conditioning system, a laundry machine, an iron/ironing board, a hairdryer, a refrigerator, a kitchen cooker, an electric kettle, a sandwich maker and a filter coffee machine.

El alojamiento es perfecto, tiene absolutamente todo lo necesario para pasar unas buenas vacaciones. Esta lleno de detalles, tanto en menaje como juguetes para niños y utensilios de piscina. Los anfitriones Socrates y Zoe son muy agradables y serviciales, nos han ayudado con todo, incluso nos dejaron comida en la nevera y un enorme frutero lleno. La ubicación es perfecta muy cercana a la playa y con todo lo que puedas necesitar ( tiendas, restaurantes...) muy cerca. Repetiriamos sin dudarlo.
Everything is so perfect, Mr Socrates gave us food for first day, fruit and national drink present. Appartment is equiped with everything you need, pool and garden were cleaning every morning.
Totul a fost perfecf, amabili, frigiderul pregatit cu oua sunca cascaval si legume. Au fost foarte atenți si cu copilul nostru ( scaun, pat, tacamuri pt el + jucarie cadou ) piscina de nota 11!
My husband and I always book our stays with Airbnb since years. We enjoy the freedom that gives you having your own space and specially love cooking. We’ve been in awesome places around the world, but our stay at Sokrates Apartments has been hats off the BEST Airbnb stay we ever experienced. Socrates and Zoi, the owners, are the lovliest, most welcoming, sweetest people we could have wished for. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Socrates and Zoi who brought us a huge basket of delicious fresh fruit, a freshly made kaltsounia, but also a full fridge with everything you could wish for, including eggs, potatoes and oil from their own farm. We also shared a shot of Raki 😬 The appartment is beautiful and spotless clean. Just like shown on the pictures, but better! Vases with fresh flowers perfumed the whole house and lasted the full week we stayed there. The garden and pool space outside, with seaviews is simply stunning and perfect to chill after a long day exploring the island while hubby is cooking. We were lucky enough to be the only guests so we could have the space all for ourselves. I miss Crete everyday and staying with Zoi and Socrates felt a lot like going back home to grandma’s where family spoils you every day. We will definitely come back and stay with them. Hope sooner than later ❤️
We were a group of four people and stayed at Sokrates Apartments for four nights. Holidays Chania is an agency that coordinates the communication and the booking but the appartment (two houses with each two appartments) are runned by Sokrates and Zoe (his wife). We have all experienced a lot of AirBnB-stays but this stay hosted by Sokrates was beyond everything... both of them are unbelievably heart-whelming, hospitable and caring, more than you would ever expect from your hosts. At our arrival, we were welcomed with a fridge filled with everything you need for your breakfast... and even eggs from their own chicken farming! There were fresh flowers on the table and a basket full of fruits. They took care of the pool and the entire equipments in the morning, we could always reach out to them (they could hardly speak english but Google translate did a great job). Regarding the equipment of the appartment we absolutely have no complaints. Kitchen serves with everything you need (our neighbours also did barbecues), washing machine, towels, AC,... The appartment looks exactly like in the photos, also really clean and the pool area is a nice place to chill. The restaurants around the appartment are very delicious and not pricey, local greek food and not really touristic, we enjoyed that a lot. Whats left to say is: this appartment is lovingly maintained by Sokrates and Zoe, we really hope that this hospitality will be appreciated by any future guest! We'll definetly come back again and maybe drink some more Raki with these amazing people!

The apartment is located in the area of Kolymbari 500 meters from the sea and only 50 meters away from restaurants, taverns, coffee shops, a gas station, an ATM, various shops for your shopping and more. Also, in a short distance there is the beautiful village of Kolymbari, which is a traditional fishing village with beautiful seaside taverns, a supermarket, a post office, a bank, a golf, and its beautiful harbor. Going forward is the world’s famous Orthodox Academy of Crete, where the World Orthodox Congress was held there a few years ago as well as many other conferences around the world on the past. Shortly before you get there, you will pass from the Holy Monastery of Panagia, where you will be able to stop for a while to tour the museum and their premises. Moreover, at around 2 km away from the lodging is the ancient olive tree in the village of Vouves, which is one of the seven olive trees in the Mediterranean region that reaches over 3,000 years. Although its exact age cannot be verified, the Monumental Olive Tree, as it is called, is considered to be the oldest one of the seven and is therefore designated as a nature preserve due to its unique aesthetic, ecological and of historical interest.
Within 50 meters there is a bus stop so that you can easily move around our town and also get to know our beautiful famous beaches such as Elafonissi, Falassarna, Balos as well as other areas of our city.
