Couldn't knock the location and the boat was clean and very well presented. Only issue was sent a whatsap attachment with all the information to gain entry. When we arrived at the boat there were no lights on, we had to work out how to start the generator and electrics in the dark which wasn't ideal. I would recommend you leave the lights on or greet guest as it was a little complicated on arrival. Apart from that was a wonderful stay and would recommend.

We had the best time! James is a wonderful host who made sure the boat was warm and cosy for us because outside was freezing cold. He was guiding us how to get there when our gps took us wrong direction, but it was actually very easy to find. The boat is on the perfect location with a great pub right across where service was just lovely! The boat was spotless clean and absolutely gorgeous! James made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we need. The best host ever! We can’t praise him enough! We had a wonderful time and will definitely like to come again and recommend it to everyone

Wonderful and unique stay right in the centre of Windsor and Eton. You can’t beat the location and it’s extremely comfortable, well equipped and clean. Would happily come again!

Can’t get much better than the location, the canal boat is on the Thames, a 2 minute walk from the riverside train station and 5 min walk to the centre of Windsor. Inside it’s nicely decorated, clean and well stocked with a wood burner, diesel wet central heating and hot water. I have a couple of bad things to report: the mild sewerage smell in the middle bedroom from the macerator tank is off putting and didn’t disappear for the time we was there, and the noise from the mooring rope across the roof was loud during the night - the river flows fast and the boat moves about a foot backwards and forwards albeit slowly and when the rope is stretched it vibrates on the body, moving the rope or tightening up may resolve the noise - however by far the worst of the 2 issues is the smell, it gets worse the longer your there. James was in contact all the time, mainly because the batteries was flat before we arrived and was being asked to put the generator on for longer periods.

Great location! We really enjoyed the area as well as the barge. Do let James know ASAP though if you’re having issues with the hot water though. It takes a bit of time to fix and cold showers are not pleasant. James is very responsive though and works to correct issues in a timely manner.
