This was an idyllic spot to vacation and relax, nestled in Wilderness State Park. Lake Michigan was out the back door with two decks for relaxing and reading. There are views of Mackinaw Bridge and the Northern lights. The home was just what I needed for work on a project…a fully functional kitchen, lots of room to spread out, comfy beds, and lots of quiet. On my visit, I was able to hike in Wilderness State Park, swim in Lake Michigan, venture into Mackinaw City, and just relax. Wendy was a wonderful host, and I would definitely stay there again!

Wendy's place was wonderful for our stay in Mackinaw. right on the water, clean, and very homely. The only downside is no TV, but you don't need one when you're surrounded by the lake and Wilderness State Park. Will definitely be returning!

If you’re looking for a cozy family vacation home by the lake your search is over! Thanks to our amazing and welcoming host Wendy we had an incredibly relaxing time with tons of amazing views. The home’s accommodations were well-maintained and super clean, needless to say, we were very comfy throughout our week-long stay. There’s a nearby convenience store for any needs and the home is close to Mackinaw City/Island if you’re looking for a more excursion-filled day. We had a magical stay!

We had such a wonderful week we had at Wendy's place. If you're looking for peace and quite and beautiful views, this is the place for you! Close to lots of well-maintained trails in the state park and a small store nearby for essentials. If you're looking for more to do, Mackinaw City and St. Ignace are a short drive away and offer lots of dining options, historical sites and charm. Wendy was very helpful as we prepared for our trip and throughout-even giving us a heads-up about bad weather so we could be prepared. She gave us lots of privacy and her home was very clean and charming. One night we stayed on the beach until it got dark to see the stars and 3 does came to the edge of the lake at dusk for a drink. It was a wonderful place to stay and I'm sure we'll be back soon!
