I wish I could recommend this property but I cannot. The only honest comment in the listing is the quiet, comfortable neighborhood. Otherwise, this is an Airbnb which should be avoided. Background: I reserved this property for 28 days but only stayed 9 days because I am a private Hospice health care worker who travels with my pets. I need to make sure that I have a place to retreat to once I lose my patient in order to relax and rest before the next assignment. My dogs come to work with me; the well trained cats stayed at the property (retired cats from television commercials). I spent my 4-6 hours off per day with them but did not cook or bathe at the place. The hostess was informed of this before I made my reservation and agreed to them. The hostess was present at the property for unannounced visits (I did not see her but found dirty dishes in sink and some items moved so I knew someone had been there). She could see that there was no problem with my pets; she agreed to extensions of my stay! Here are some of the problems- Lack of information and ability to communicate with hostess: There is no Handbook with vital information or Contact Listing. For instance, how is a guest supposed to find a “sound system” when one needs to open the refrigerator door? What is a guest supposed to do if there is a plumbing problem or emergency? The hostess did not respond to my pleads when I needed for her to pay her cable bill so I could enjoy TV and use WiFi for business. was unavailable during my visit. Complete misrepresentation of property: Many amenities were not provided such as washer, dryer, hot tub, all outdoor amenities ( there is a rusted fire pit only), etc. Cleanliness: Floors, carpets, all kitchen items were FILTHY. A trash compactor is a listed amenity but not present; no trash can was provided inside. The floors were covered in feces smears and urine from her dog. I spent time cleaning and buffing the floors so that it would be acceptable for my pets to wander throughout the house. Guest bathroom: Bathtub yes; water no. It had a stripped faucet so there was no source of water; sink stopper was missing and the sink did not drain properly because a large plastic top could be seen in the pipe. The hostess instructed me to use their master bathroom but I did not feel comfortable doing so. I bathed at a friend’s home instead. The cleanliness of this bathroom was acceptable. Guest bedroom: Small room with a television and comfortable queen size mattress but there were stains. The mattress is pushed against the wall which makes it comfortable for a single guest only. Television is on a stand which is at an uncomfortable angle for viewing. There is a nice, large Smart TV with Netflix. Unfortunately, the hostess had not paid her bill and I only had access to cable and WiFi for 2.5 days of my 28 day stay! Suitable for events : No No dedicated work space as listed on amenities which may be a deal breaker for a business guest. Furniture not present with the exception of two bar stools and a nice glass dining table with chairs. The two red chairs in the room off the kitchen are not color fast! I ruined a pair of white nursing pants when I sat on one after being outside in a light mist. My pants must have been slightly damp? Kitchen: Very nice open kitchen which is honestly represented in the listing pictures. However, everything is filthy! The dishwasher could not be used since the sink garbage disposal did not work and the sink drained very slowly. The hostess accused me of breaking it! However, the filthy dishes etc informed that the dishwasher could not be used. The hostess was accusatory and rude. She accused me of messing up her house, breaking the garbage disposal and ruining her barstools which was not true. Luckily, I took pictures of Before and After to document my stay and condition. These were submitted to Airbnb.
