Pine Plains · 岛屿 · 1室3床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Magical Private Island Retreat in Pine Plains
Enjoy the serenity of Twin Island Lake, surrounded by tranquil water, lush mountains and nature. this incredible private island retreat is only 2 hours from NYC. Take a canoe across a lily pad dotted lake to your own private island paradise. You will never find a magical space like this so close! The entire island is yours to enjoy and has plenty of outdoor spaces including a propane grill, hammocks and plenty of seating areas. The inside a humble aesthetic with wood paneling and charm. Affectionately named Rony's Island, this island was love at first sight for us. We knew it had something magical about it (as you will discover), and this Dutchess County "upstate" town itself boasts so much charm. There's no way to describe it other than visiting yourself. We'll provide all the eco-friendly essential amenities you'll need. Just bring food, water and comfortable clothes. Bring an instrument or play the guitar we left for guests. Take a stroll around the island and enjoy the panoramic views of lush green mountains. Watch swans, geese and herons take off on the lake. Lay on the chaise lounges and take in some sun. Enjoy a picnic or a candlelit dinner outside. Take a long nap on our rope hammocks. Do some yoga or meditation. Do some writing or art. Be happy. The interiors are all wood paneling with natural pine floors and details. This gives the space a delicate warmth that has unique characteristics throughout the day. The interior style we went with was simple earth tones, natural materials and a comfy aesthetic. You'll feel so relaxed that time will cease to exist. If it gets chilly, we have electric baseboard heating. Bring a warm sweater and drink a hot chocolate or make some smores around a campfire. The upstairs bedroom suite is a large wooden-paneled loft space with 1 plush king size bed and a futon. Downstairs, we have another sleeper sofa for additional accommodation. Of course, a couple can enjoy this all by themselves as a romantic retreat if you wish. Love is love. <3 We have a septic system and clean running water from an aquifer below. Be sure to be eco-conscious and respectful of our humble home. Parking is available on the lawn in front of the boat house when you arrive. Several cars fit.
Best AirBnb we've ever stayed in! My girlfriend, me, and our dog stayed here for a weekend and were immediately struck by the tranquility and seclusion offered by the island. Coming from New York City it was a very welcome change! It truly felt like we were in a different world. We had everything we needed and never left the island. You can tell that Roger and Tony genuinely love hosting people; they provided a bottle of wine, breakfast materials, a projector, games, passionate local recommendations, and so much more. We're already planning our return, can't recommend it enough!
Absolute beautiful property! We are blown away and loved spending a weekend getaway here. We also encountered a full moon night and paddled around the peaceful pond. It was a dream. Thank you for sharing your property with us!
This place is magical. Adventure, relaxation, nature, wildlife, all with the creature comforts and amenities that go above and beyond your typical AirBnb. Roger and Tony are really thinking of everything you might need and stuff you wouldn't have thought about but greatly appreciate. They are not overselling El Guacamole by the way. Excellent food and margaritas. Delicious dairy and meat at local farms nearby. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven—you both are so lucky to have this place and offer it out to us!
Roger and Tony were very responsive, you can tell they take great care in decorating this amazing private getaway, imagine having an island to yourself! They even left doggy bowls for our pets. Their messages were caring, genuine, and always right there when we needed them. The kitchen was well stocked. . Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us! It is a special place.
This charming equestrian town, although small with a population of less than 2,500, is bursting with character as you will discover. Delicious restaurants, historic buildings with small businesses, an old church-converted-art gallery, and even a great little barber shop! Upon your arrival to Pine Plains, you'll find everything you need to enjoy prior to your check in. But if it gets late, there's always a Stewarts nearby that closes at midnight. Don't forget to pick up a nice bottle of red or white at Pine Plains Fine Wines to enjoy the sunset.
