From the moment we arrived in Lucca we felt at home .Paolo met us with a bottle of Chianti and was so helpful in telling us about the area. The apartment is exactly as the photographs and the stairs are very steep , a great work out though. The outdoor terrace is a lovely space and we thoroughly enjoyed having our meals out there.Good facilities for cooking in and dishwasher and washing machine and added bonus . We rented bikes from Fast and furious who were excellent to deal with and cycled along the River, rather than round the busier city walls .We loved walking around Lucca with its interesting streets ,churches,towers and squares . We took the train to Florence easily for a day trip .

Fantastic two-floor apartment with a great location and an amazing terrace. Stayed two nights with two kids (ages 3 and 6), and we all enjoyed the modern and well-equipped apartment. The two bedrooms, located next to each other, make it ideal for families. Paolo and his lovely family are fantastic and supportive hosts. We definitely recommend this apartment and will definitely book it the next time we visit Lucca.

We had a great stay at Paolo’s beautiful apartment. The location was perfect for us - close to great bakeries, pizza and an excellent fruit and vegetable shop. The views from windows and the terrace were lovely. Paolo was very helpful and friendly.
