This tranquil cottage with a sea view is situated in a Cove private estate a mere 6km from East London Airport and 14km from East London central. The estate boasts a convenience store, private beach, two swimming pools and numberous braai areas. The convenience store sells all of your basic items as well as fishing gear, braai packs, bacon, wraps, pies and other items which makes this the perfect location if you don't have your own transportation This lovely cosy cottage provides two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and both bedrooms have built in cupboards. The lounge and kitchen are open plan, creating the perfect social atmosphere. There are two separate yardsThere are washing lines in the back yard and be prepared to see monkeys and deer near the bushes.

The place is in a very lovely estate near the sea, however it is not the standard of an airbnb, it is run down, very old furniture and the beds are not comfortable. As a last minute option it will work but not proper holiday hangout. The lady who was helping out is lovely but the place is not in a good condition. We had to shower with cold water for 2 days and we had kids, the place was also not cleaned during the stay. It definitely does not compare to other airbnb establishments i have experienced.

The location is great, with the private beach and all. Restricted access is great for security even though it limits visitors for guests. For the price charged, it would be great if the host could consider modernising the place and also have cleaning services. 11 days without cleaning is a bit of a schlep…the wooden flooring upstairs makes it a bit of a nightmare if booked in the downstairs unit, the thudding 🤦🏽♀️ Overall, Bernie is a great host, she kept checking on us 🙂
