Another good stay at The Walnut House. Our family has stayed here a few times - it’s clean, cozy, safe, easy check-in/out, close to grocery store, good Mexican restaurant, and good pizza restaurant. Roxanne is a great host.

Charming house, beautifully decorated! We felt very comfortable. Roxanne was an excellent host, very kind and hospitable. She allowed us to get in early so we could settle in before the eclipse. Would stay here again!

Perfect Place to Stay! We loved everything about this adorable historic home - the woodwork, the floors, the paint colors, the doors, the hardware, the furniture, and the antiques. We enjoyed the eclectic décor, the art on the walls, the knick-knacks, and the cozy, homey, comfortable vibe. Roxanne was very responsive and even had her husband drop off a blender for me to use. The bed we used was firm. Our granddaughter said hers was soft. I forgot to test it myself. We loved being in a small town and walking to the grocery store (there were at least two within easy walking distance). The Roku TV was easy to use, even with our own Roku Express. And being from Minnesota, it was WONDERFUL to enjoy the spring weather (and the green grass, trees & crops!) which had already arrived in southern Illinois! Thank you for a lovely visit!

Great place to stay for a couple passing through. Big, clean house. Good amenities. Within walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Would stay again.
