The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a central location in Christchurch, which is great if you want to visit the city.
The hotel itself is fine. Great location and clean room. This is part of the Hotel Give operation, which uses their profits to fund local charities - which is laudable. However, don’t book a room through Air B and B. Contact Hotel Give and book directly. Firstly, their listing on Air BnB gives false information about the size of the room you are booking (the pictures of the room are different to what they actually let out) and Air BnB puts a massive mark up on the price of the room, compared to booking it through other means. We paid $269, when it could be booked elsewhere for $179.

Centrally located next to the Botanical Gardens, Canterbury Museum and Hagley Park, Hotel Give features a range of accommodations including self-contained apartments, private deluxe rooms and shared-bathroom rooms and dormitory rooms. Guests enjoy 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, an onsite restaurant and a cafe. For an additional charge guests can access conference spaces and laundry facilities. There are also two communal kitchens, and lounge areas to relax in on the first four floors. Accommodations options include deluxe rooms with private bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Classic rooms offer access to shared bathroom facilities. Apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, balconies and living areas. All rooms (except dorms) have flat screen TVs and wardrobes.
