Sheri’s cottage was beautiful and so comfortable. My family and I had the best time and I cannot wait to return. The location is very peaceful and the instructions given by Sheri were spot on. We brought our own food, as suggested, and did not have to leave the cottage for anything. Lake Alpine is a dream!

The cottage was adorable for a weekend trip for my family of four (2 adults, 4 yo, & 4 month old baby). The location was great and the kids loved going to the lodge to swim at the indoor pool. It was a 20 min drive to Oakland MD to grab some coffee and dinner. We did have a some hiccups for the two days we stayed. The oven was finnicky and didn't quite heat to expectations. The hot water for showers and dishes was minimal. It was a cold weekend but the cottage got very chilly in the night and morning. The cleanliness of the cottage, in my opinion, was not acceptable. We found dirty silverware in between/under the couch which tells me it was not "deep" cleaned. The daybed in the loft had drool stained sheets where my toddler was going to sleep. We brought our own blankets so I laid one down on the bed and had him use the other as a cover. This, then, had me concerned about our own bed and its cleanliness. Overall, the place was nice but the lack of cleanliness was a deal breaker for me.

We didn't get service in the mountains trying to find the resort so it took us awhile to find where we were going but once we did it was beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed watching movies on the sectional and watching the snow. We wish their would of been curtains or blinds come night time, that was a little uncomfortable but overall we had a wonderful time. The view of the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. We would come back in the future.
