Well we have just returned from a week stay at Casa Arade and everything was perfect….we were very sad to have to leave. Miguel was perfect as a host. Very responsive to a couple of queries we had in advance of our stay. However what really impressed me was the clear communication to confirm check in instructions as we were arriving later than the standard check in time as well as receiving a message on our travel day to check that everything was going to plan which I thought was a really nice touch. Also allowed us to leave a little later than check out time which was appreciated. Casa Arade was exactly as the pictures showed and as described. We were delighted with the accommodation-comfy beds and great bathrooms/showers. The air conditioning throughout was also a great addition and allows you to keep the property comfortable and cool in the Algarve sun. Location was also perfect for us - a short walk to the restaurants/attractions that Silves has to offer. We hope to return soon!

Our stay at Miguel’s was absolutely wonderful! We loved the house, the comfort and all the details. The layout of the house was perfect, everyone has their own quarters. The swimming pool was a fantastic asset for making the most of those beautiful summer days. We really enjoyed cooking on site. Miguel was very attentive to our needs. Silves is a very well-located town, and we were able to visit several towns and beaches within a 30-minute drive. We could have spent a 2nd week there. Definitely the best travel rental I've done on Airbnb!!! A huge thank you Miguel

Stayed here as a family of 5 with 3 grown up children. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the property is. Beautifully decorated and clean. All amenities including indoor and outdoor towels, which were greatly appreciated. Location is great for accessing Silves restaurants, shops and attractions. Easy access to beaches with a car. Miguel was extremely responsive and helpful. Would return and recommend.

My name is Miguel, I am Portuguese, married with my beautiful wife Sara. We live near the charming town of Sintra, world’s Unesco heritage, nearby Lisbon. As a joke we say that it is a must for us to live in villages that have a castle, nearby hills, green country side and beaches. Both Sintra and Silves fulfil these requirements! My main professional activity is in the graphic industry. Due to my profession and also for pleasure of travelling, we have visited quite a few places in Europe and in many other locations around the globe, such as Brazil or Mozambique. It sounds like a bit of a cliché, but we love very much to interact with people from different locations and cultures, and that is the beauty of travelling! Casa da Nora was our first project in terms of small scale short rental tourism. The house has been totally rebuilt and refurbish with dedication care by me and Sara and the help of friends. This was done with a good personal effort from our side but also with enormous respect with the building and local architecture traditions. It was the house of a local family that has lived here many years, and we had that in mind and in respect that when we rehab the house. We are most pleased to bring life and joy to Casa da Nora again, and sharing it with other persons, who give proper value to it. In the meantime we have acquire two townhouses in the old centre of Silves, that we finished rehab, with quality and comfort features. The houses are Casa Mourisca, named as a tribute to the Moorish origins of the city of Silves and Casa Arade, named because of the fantastic view it has to the river Arade, from its location on a top hill in the town. Both houses are located in the historical centre of Silves and are now available for renting in the platforms.
