La Grange at La Peyriere is a beautiful, sympathetically restored Perigordian stone barn dating from around 1890. Retaining all of its original charm and character this wing of the property has a stylish, and fresh interior with a secure garden surrounded by gentle French countryside. This stunning property in the Vézère Valley in the heart of the Dordogne hosts fascinating pre-historic caves & magnificent castles. It is within a 5 minute drive of the bustling market town of Le Bugue. This beautiful property has been sympathetically restored retaining many original features. The natural charm and rural setting is perfect for relaxing holidays all year round. The property has private parking and there is private access to your property. The main entrance to the house enters into a large comfortable living area with full digital TV, DVD, bluetooth speaker and wood burner. there is direct access to the terrace and private garden. The kitchen is spacious with a gas hob and electric oven, there is a separate pantry with a dishwasher and fridge freezer Also on the ground floor is a toilet and laundry room. On the first floor there are two large bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the other with two single beds. There is also a shower room and toilet on the first floor. The private garden is secure for pets and younger children with a terrace for barbecues and dining. There is a 10 x 5 metre saltwater swimming pool. The pool is set in a neutral part of the landscaped gardens and is not overlooked by any of the properties.

Dans un joli hameau à distance de l’agitation, un environnement verdoyant et une ambiance d’ancienne ferme joliment réhabilitée, fonctionnelle et sans fioriture, nos deux hôtes sont parfaitement accueillants, ultra discrets et disponibles. La grange est très bien pour un couple avec deux enfants, la piscine très agréable même s’il faut parfois attendre pour ne pas être trop nombreux avec les autres vacanciers présents sur les lieux. Un lieu charmant parfaitement recommandable à distance courte de nombreux points de visite.
What a superb stay at this stunning gite in a beautiful part of France. The photos on the website don’t do Patrick and Jacqueline’s place enough justice as it is so tranquil and gorgeous. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and friendly and made us feel right at home from the start. We loved and appreciated the welcome pack of eggs from the free range chickens roaming the grounds and home made fig jam as well as bread, butter and fizz etc. The pool is an oasis and was a great size, with our boys fully enjoying the swimming, whilst we were able to relax on the sun loungers, reading in the sun. The area is great and we highly recommend canoeing along the river from St Leon. The food and wine in the area is superb and we loved cooking the local produce and dining in our outside area in the gite. We’ve actually had a few tears from one of our boys when leaving today as he didn’t want it to end. It was the BEST HOLIDAY EVER. Thank you for a truly magical stay.
Staying at La Puyriere was beautiful, the accommodation and surrounding countryside was calming and peaceful. Both Patrick & Jacqueline were very responsive, extremely helpful and provided us with some great local recommendations. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The property is very accessible to visit a number of fantastic local attractions and areas during your stay:
• Ancient sites and sweeping gorges of the Vézère Valley in the Dordogne. Surrounded by archaeological sites of international importance in Lascaux, near Montignac, where the world famous cave painting museums are open for visitors.
• The entire Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed with many sites open to the public.
• 30km East to Sarlat an historic and beautiful market town.
• 9km South East to Limeuil, where the Vézère meets the Dordogne, officially one of France's prettiest villages.
• 45km to the historic town of Bergerac filled with shopping, cafes and restaurants. You can also fly into the international airport from various European locations.
• Numerous canoe and kayak hire centres up and down the valley that will drop you and your canoe off and pick you up at the other end.

• We are located on the cycle route that links many of the villages and there are many cycle routes to be explored.
•130km from the city of Bordeaux with its international airport and all of the attractions you could want from a beautiful French city on the West coast.
-You will need a car when staying at the property to get around and explore the area.
-There is a train station at Les Eyzies that can take you direct to Bordeaux city centre.
- The many cycle routes make this a great location to stop off on route.
- There is no public transport in the area.

We continue to lovingly restore our 18th Century Farm House and accompanying barns & cottages and look forward to welcoming you to your private self contained accommodation. We live here with our much loved flat coat retrievers Nelly and Scout. We have 4 grown up children who live in the UK.
