Bed & Breakfast room “1350” is named after the first inhabitants of Château de la Preuille, the Boux family, who lived here through many generations for 110 years. Jean Boux was the first seigneur (lord) de la Preuille. This 18m2 room has a great view over the moat. Enjoy the early morning from the comfort of an armchair, and discover the birdlife on the water. This bed and breakfast room of 18m2 offers a fantastic view over the moat. Enjoy the early morning from a comfortable chair and discover the variety of birds on and in the water. Breakfast is included and served in the traditional old kitchen of the castle. Located on the 1st floor of the Château. Bedroom with a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm). Baby cot available - upon request. Private bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. For two people, plus children up to 2 years old. In your room, you have complimentary coffee and tea facilities. All our chambres d’hôtes are located in a separate part of the Château, each with a stunning view of the moat.

We were welcomed to the Chateau by Bill, the cat, who introduced us to Sandra. This space is absolutely fantastic, perfect for couples, friends or solo travellers on a peaceful get away. There are plenty of romantic and historic touches, and the space has been thoughtfully designed around the history of the chateau. Breakfast in the fourteenth century kitchen, overlooking the moat is a real treat. Comfortable and warm beds, you will rest well and wake up feeling inspired. Make sure you enjoy a glass of the Chateau wine!
Arriving at the chateau is like entering an other time era, and despite we arrived too early, we were welcome like king and queen. It is difference when a place is not just run as a business, but a family opens their home and welcome guests with a smile and open arms. We immediately felt at home and comfortable. The effort invested to restore this old estate and attention to details in décor and setup is mindboggling. For one could think they have arrived in a museum, with the difference this is all hands-on and the actual residence. The host family is super friendly. Sandra did an amazing effort to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was just amazing and the scrambled eggs earned a Michelin star. This was not just "stay a night", but a true experience indulging in a very special place full of history and atmosphere. We wished we could have spent more time. A big thanks to the family for having us and giving as very memorable experience.

Here you will find beautiful machines and creations based on the stories of Jules Verne, including a 12-meter-high elephant and a carousel with an incredible underwater world decor. An experience you won't soon forget!
Just 40 km away from our castle, you will find the second largest theme park in France, Puy du Fou. Here, you can experience 26 historical shows daily that feel like watching a Hollywood movie. In between, you can stroll through the various villages and score fun souvenirs. A fantastic day out for every age, and especially unique because the park's theme perfectly matches the history of our castle.
And what about the endless beaches just 70 km from our castle? From Plage Pornic in the north to Les Sables d'Olonne in the south, you'll find the widest and most beautiful beaches in France. Additionally, this region has the most sunshine hours per day in all of France, earning it the nickname "Côte Lumière." An ideal destination for a day out in the sun!
But there is still so much more to discover in our area. Hidden shops, cozy bars and restaurants, and a sports hall in an old warehouse. Or take a stroll along the Loire river and admire the unique details in the city. Don't forget to visit the fifteenth-century Château des Ducs de Bretagne, with the only giant slide on the outside of a castle in the world! In short, this region is the ideal destination for an unforgettable vacation or weekend getaway. Come and enjoy all the beauty that Vendée has to offer!

We leven volgens de simpele dingen in het leven die je een glimlach geven. Met onze persoonlijke benadering een oog voor kleine details proberen we ervoor te zorgen dat je je thuis voelt. Of het nu gaat om onverwachte verrassingen voor je kinderen of een extra vleugje romantiek voor jezelf. We bieden een unieke ervaring tegen een betaalbare prijs om een onvergetelijke vakantie te beleven. Toen we elkaar ontmoetten, besloten we een spannend leven te leiden, dingen anders te doen, leven tot het uiterste. Van een implusief huwelijk op een zonnig strand tot en met het opvoeden van onze vier geweldige kinderen in het buitenland. Zelf dingen te maken in plaats van van het schap te kopen niet van het menu te kiezen maar broodjes boven een kampvuur te bakken. In 2019 werden we verliefd op Château de la Preuille. Onze droom is om van dit kasteel een leuke, spannende en magische plek te maken waar gezinnen en romantische koppels zich thuis kunnen voelen. Omdat we zelf vier kinderen hebben, weten we wat nodig is om ze een geweldige ervaring te geven (maar natuurlijk ook voor jullie zelf). Onze zelfgemaakte speurtochten in het bos, thema partijtjes, etentjes met vrienden zijn nog steeds bekend in ons oude dorp in Frankrijk. Wij verwelkomen onze gasten op een manier zoals we zelf willen leven. Elk verblijf moet onvergetelijk zijn, voor onze gasten, en ook voor ons.
