In 7 years and 22 trips with airbnb I have never left a review less than 5 stars, and every host that I have had contact with have said nothing but positive things about me. Unfortunately this is the first time I have to leave a negative review. I stayed here for a month with my wife and her mother. The ad is very misleading. The hosts are dishonest and rude. First off lets be clear this is not a real apartment. This is a basement. A small basement with 2 rooms underneath the owners house. In the bedroom there are no windows, and no ceiling fan to circulate air. The bedroom is tiny and the ceiling height is low. At 5 foot 10 inches I can easily touch the ceiling with my hand. This means that when you try to sleep in this room that is about the same size as a large walk in closet, you will wake up in the middle of the night hot and with no fresh air. This is a basement and you will hear the flushing of the toilet above you throughout the day and night. This is a very loud sound and will wake you up because the pipes are right above your head. When you are in the kitchen, or in the living room watching TV, or worse eating dinner you will hear the sound of toilet water flushing through pipes and it will interrupt whatever you are doing. The reason for this is because this is a basement. A real apartment is constructed with windows in the bedroom and walls thick enough to where you can't hear the toilet flushing upstairs or the people above you blowing their nose. Yes it's true I actually heard them above me blowing their nose. This structure was not intended to be used as an apartment. It is a basement with pretty pictures and fake brick walls. Do not let the ad fool you. The pictures of the basement show two comfortable chairs outside of the apartment that you can sit on and enjoy the day. The reality is when you show up there are no such chairs outside, instead there are 5 garbage bins in front of the window and a Toyota. There is a picture of a picnic table with a nice refreshing beverage on it, however the table is covered in plastic and not available for use. To say this basement is a real apartment is completely dishonest and the pictures of the yard that they show in the ad do not represent reality. Also there were two saturdays where I was awakened to a horrible noise upstairs it was loud and wouldn't stop. I texted the owner and she said that quiet time is 10:00 pm to 0600 am every day including Saturdays and Sundays. I heard this same noise at 7:00 pm at night on a few occasions only to be told by them that it was coming from next store. This was clearly not true. The sound was coming from right above us and is just another example of how dishonest these people are similar to their fake photographs of the yard and the mis leading of people to think that this is a real 1 bedroom apartment. Every apartment that I have ever seen had a least a window in the bedroom or a ceiling fan to get some type of ventilation or fresh air in the room. The pillows were hard as a rock I actually went to the mall and bought two new pillows because my neck was sore after two days. I asked to get clean sheets after two weeks and they gave me a sheet that didn't fit on the bed and then said it's not there responsibility to provide clean sheets even though there is no washer on the premises. Unfortunately this trip was not a planned vacation. My wife and I escaped the war in Ukraine and I originally booked this for the two of us. After I made the booking my mother in law called us and asked if she could meet us in Krakow and if she could stay with us. Although I originally only booked and paid for two people I knew there was a couch in the living room and I of course told Mom that it would be ok and she met and my wife in Krakow and we took the train to Gdansk. Within 3 minutes of our arrival at Beata's place in Gdansk I got a message from her telling me that we had 3 people instead of 2 and that we had to pay an additional $580 usd for the third person. I had paid $945 for the month and thought that an extra $580.00 was outrageous. I explained to Beata that my wifes mom asked us to stay AFTER I made the booking and it was my fault that I only booked it for two, but I didn't know at the time that I would have a third person. I asked her if we could pay a more reasonable amount like $200.00 for the third person to sleep in the living room. Beata responded via message saying she liked to help people and everything would be ok and that we would work it out. The next day she came over and everything was not ok, she demanded the $580.00 for the third person and I was able to convince her to accept $400.00 which was almost 50% of what I paid for two people for the whole month. So I paid her a total of $1,350.00 to live in her basement for a month. I had messaged her again and told her that I was disappointed about the $400.00 extra that I had to pay in addition to the original $945.00 that I had already paid and she responded by saying that. SHE ONLY RENTS TO TOURISTS AND THAT SHE IS NOT
